Is it possible (general question) to create chargeable spells?  like you hold R1 and it consumes , say 5 charges of soul arrow with 5 times the damage or something? And maybe even shortening the charge time based on attunement or intelligence?  ( my idea for a mod)

Hey great mod and great changes, as you asked I'd like to name some additional things that I think might be useful to change in the game. First off I'd like to see Dark Hand buffed as an offensive option, it has little to no use in it's current form in the game. Also Drake Sword having no scaling makes sense from an early game balancing standpoint but does not make much sense overall, I wonder if you could tweak it so it gets some minor scaling but remains roughly the same dmg output very early. Also if it's not too much to ask, could you give some pointers on how you make a mod such as this? I was considering doing the exact same thing you did here but to Elden Ring, as in buff unusable stuff but not change strong things.

Hi! Thanks for commenting and sorry it's taken me a few days to see it. I actually think the dark hand is an extremely good item, but as a shield, not a weapon, so I see what you mean. I wondered about making it scale with intelligence and faith, so that Velka's Talisman builds which are extremely limited have another option. Otherwise I could just raise the damage.

The Drake Sword is tricky because I feel like it's such an iconic weapon as it is and none of the other dragon weapons have scaling (except for Priscilla's of course which we can assume is because she's a half-dragon). An option I could do is to leave its damage at +0 as it is, but have it gain more damage per upgrade level so that it caps out at, I don't know, 350 instead of 300. That way, it wouldn't really be buffed for the very early game in which you find it, but would be somewhat more viable lategame. Alternatively I could leave it the way it is but make it buffable, which would turn it from an unviable 300 damage straightsword to an actually extremely potent buff stick for pure int and faith builds. I'll have a play around with it.

I made this mod with DSMapStudio, which I believe Elden Ring modders also use. It's very intuitive and quite easy to figure out how to do what you want once you're used to it! I understand Elden Ring is much more moddable than Dark Souls so you should have a lot more freedom than I have. I also got a lot of help from the ?ServerName? discord, which you should be able to find just by looking up "dark souls modding discord"; they have an Elden Ring channel. DSMapStudio is great for minor tweaks because in essence all you're doing is ticking or unticking boxes, editing number values or making spell effects point to different effects.
