first extract dsfix [ link-DSfix at Dark Souls Nexus - mods and community (nexusmods.com)] to where your darksouls.exe is.than extract the optimization project file inside tex_overide folder which is in the dsfix folder [you got these when you extracted the dsfix].now open dsfix.ini it should be where you darksouls.exe is than look for the line where it says tex_overide set it to 1 and all set.enjoy
This mod should be at the top of the most downloaded, completely fixed my stutter issues. My PC is a ryzen 5800x with a 1080ti. I could kiss you bro thank you so much /1!!
This single-handedly made Dark Souls go from unplayably slow and stuttery on my old laptop to enjoying a very respectable fps. The game rarely slows to a crawl for a few seconds while crossing between areas but that's it. I'm sure it won't work for everyone but this mod has been a miracle-worker for me. Endorsed :)
Makes it much smoother but makes a horizontal line go up or down the screen, hard to explain, it's like on one side of the line its a couple of frames ahead
I know I'm a few years late to the party, but I've encountered missing effect textures on the DLC. For example almost all of artorias' effects are completely non-existent. Did i do something wrong or is it just missing?

Can someone explain how to add this mod (I didn't get the instructions) or to put it
why in god's name are all these files not in a folder lmao
Game mostly has a CPU bottleneck anyway.
I'll go eat a pigeon alive, how about that, huh?
