    for some reason every time i try and make a localization file i'm ending up with a file that is 807kb and a large number of names of things have the first letter or two cut off and are all pink....
    i noticed my backup is 767kb.
    i tried putting the backed up xmls back(i have UI enhancement with its 772kb english.loc working just fine aslong as i don't run localization.exe)
    the reason i mention it on this one. is i found out about this problem because i used winmerge to try and combine UI Enhancement and Heirloom 101(noticed yours has some typos and a couple strings missing) and after i made the merged strings file and made the localization is when i found out about the problem. i even tried putting my backed up files from localization(i backed up each file i replaced when i installed mods) i'm still getting a buggy 807kb english.loc when i run localization.exe

    and since this seems a bit more active than ui enhancement(dev is busy with real life) thought someone might be able to help me solve my problem or generage a english.loc for me

      I really like the mod you're talking about, about 1 year ago I also tried to make his and my mod work in tandem, but couldn't figure out a way.

      Edit: just tried to download the latest version of his mod and try to apply my mod on top of it by manually editing the file and then trying to compile localization file. I do not know why, but it fails to compile. It also writes up several errors, all of which are connected to one for or another to the new character Flagellant and his armor(?).

      If you want to make our mods work in tandem, you'd have to ask the creator of the UI mod. It modifies game files quite extensively and probably has figured out a way to bypass the issues that would arise.

      I am unfortunately of no help here.

    Just a heads up: sadly this is not working for me, possibly because I'm under Linux (Mint), build 16707. I noticed that in the Linux version of the game there is no "_windows" folder, so I cannot run the .exe to generate the new .loc file. And for some reason, the one you provide *does* work and I *do* see the new descriptions, but also fails to load many other strings. There is a "_linux" folder, but there is no localization executable inside.

    I found your solution way better than the "Heirlooms info" mod (/mods/125/?) that uses visual panels, but that one is working for me.

    I will keep trying and will come back if I find a solution.

      Sorry brother, wish I could help you out. Try to fiddle about with the files, or ask those who run it on linux. I'm sure there is someone who can help you out.
