Exceptionally good mods IMO (shield and weapon widgets, free rein) Ive added em all to the DREAM recommended mods They are also in DREAM - Mod Compatibility Patch so the assets are in HD DREAM 2025 presets for these mods are included
Absolutely amazing mod, also appreciate all the various options provided!
If I can give feedback for one minor improvement, I would prefer the "Corner" position when "Attacking", but there is no delay built in for the shield to go back to its neutral position, this causes the shield to constantly bounce from neutral to the corner between each attack, even if you are attacking without pause. This isn't an issue when using the default Off screen option as there is a delay (I assume due to it actually having an animation to go back to neutral). A small delay would be great so the shield stays in the corner position a moment before resetting.
I can't replicate the problem on my end. Do you have any more steps to do it? Otherwise, it would be immensely helpful to see your player log during a game session where the problem occurred.
Yeah, the armor's more of an experiment while I was learning how modding DFU worked. I hope to get back to it and turn it into a real mod when I can find the time.
Good mod, but i seem to have a slight problem, my shield is like, super big and cover alot of screen:
and the hand that holds it is like big as my face LOL i been trying to change the settings (presets etc) but nothing seems to fix this? it bobs and whatnot so it works otherwise.
I'm assuming you have DREAM and the MCP because of the high-res shield texture so the preset should be included in your list if you installed the MCP properly. Alternatively, if you just want to fix the size, go to the last page of the Shield Widget settings and set the Texture Scale Factor slider to 4x. Or maybe 8x.
I'm not sure if just no one uses left handed weapons but the shield appears to be held by the right hand but appears on the left hand side of the screen lol.
It's an issue with the Animation module. Credit to IvanKuzyk for pointing it out. When the Animation module is enabled, the texture position is clamped to the left and bottom side of the screen to prevent the cutoff frames of the sprite from becoming visible when it animates. I simply forgot to mirror the clamping value when the sprite is mirrored lol. I actually do have a fix for that problem, but I'm waiting for more bug reports before I push an update. For now, you can disable the Animation module to get the correct Left-Handed shield-holding behavior.
I'm having trouble getting the bob to work at all with this mod and the weapon widget mods. The shield and weapon don't bob, they kind of just move a bit upward when I start to run and then stay there. Adjusting the bob settings doesn't do anything.
There was a change in the Bob settings in version 1.5.2 that turned the Bob Length slider from a range of 0.0 to 2.0 (default 1.0) to 0 to 200 (default of 100) for finer control. Might be your setting remains at 1 and so the bob cycle finishes so quickly as to be imperceptible.
All else fails, try to reset settings to default and see if that fixes it.
For some reason when I use this mod and it's patch for Physical Combat Ovehaul, it makes some mods like Darker Dungeons not work. Using Shield Widget without Physical Combat Overhaul seems to be leaving Darker Dungeons alone though.
The PCO patch is bugged on DFU 1.1.1 release. I'll be looking into fixing it. Apparently it works in the Unity Editor when the PCO main script is included in the project but not as a DFMOD. Thank you for the report.
Would it be possible to make this more compatible with Retro-Frame (+ Wilhelm's Retro Experience which modifies the former, but I'm not sure if that needs anything extra)?
@RedRoryOTheGlen, I've mocked up a simple update for the default user interface, that I always felt was long overdue.

I can easily prepare graphical assets for it, but would love to lean back on someone with the know-how in terms of positioning elements on the screen properly. Would you be interested in helping out with this? I don't suspect it's much work, in light of the amazing widget mods you'd created.
Fair enough. I'll see if I ever get around to it. I just want to get rid of those awful condition bars - was hoping it's a matter of changing XY numbers in a few lines of code someone like yourself would know.

Thank you RedRoryOTheGlen for your contributions for DFU!

Btw that armor design in the videos is really awesome, where can i find it, or is it a private mod?

There isn't really enough vanilla style armor mods out there in my opinion haha, the job you did on those look superb!

UPDATE: Should be fixed in Version 1.5.3

- Shield Widget
- Physical Combat and Armor Overhaul
- Shield Widget - PCO Compatibility
- Darker Dungeons
I'm in a playthrough with all three mods and I can pick up and douse/light torches and fires normally.https://imgur.com/a/PNMjzSA
