What a fantastic mod, thank you so much for making it! It goes a long way to making vampirism a viable playstyle. The only thing missing from it IMO is the option to allow vampires to travel during the day. I feel that the choice to risk daylight travel and potentially kill oneself that way should be something that's left up to the player, especially since it's entirely possible to stack enough constant effect health regen to entirely counteract sunlight damage... but even if you do that, that fast travel feature remains stubbornly unavailable. Anyway, thanks again for your modding efforts!
You might consider removing the two older version of the file, as this will only cause confusion as to which is the correct one to download, particularly since it is listed at the bottom.
Any idea if this mod affects clan choice? I keep getting infected in dragontail mountains, then recalling to my region of choice to change, and always end up with paralyze. The wiki claims that it doesn't matter where you get infected, its where you change, so this is confusing me.
Or is it determined by the first cutscene you get?
Got a suggestion for a QOL feature. Making vampires able to open the map during the day, so we can see where exactly we are, but still be unable to fast travel. Or maybe if one has the Travel Options mod installed, let him travel only like that in real time.
Because with travel options installed, I've found myself using the 'follow the road feature' to travel manually during the day, but I have no idea where I'm heading since I can't open my map.
Thanks for the mod.
Edit: One more idea. Since we have the option to remove Bloodlust anxiety and make vampires able to rest/loiter which was the most significant con to vampirism, how about an alternative drawback to bloodlust similar to lycanthropy (gradual maximum health decrease, NPCs not talking to you, maybe be unable to regen health during resting)?
Hi, I just discovered that your mod is incompatible with Climates&Calories. You override the rest window, but are not using the new code for it. Could you make sure your override raises and lowers the IsLoitering flag correctly?
Is it possible to make that loitering/resting thing optional? Like it's just really stupid that you cannot even loiter while hungry. I can kind of understand the resting part, but loitering should be allowed.
I have released a new version today and I think at this point the core issues that spoil the gameplay and immersion are solved :) I'm open to implementing more features, but I don't have any consistent plan of making a full overhaul. We could try to add a few more mechanics as long as they don't clash with the base game. I think a vampire quest pack wouldn't be a bad idea. Perhaps once the community extends the base game enough there will be a good moment to do a real overhaul :)
Hey, awesome, great job! Now we only need to solve the Thief Guild/Dark Brotherhood dilemma and it's almost worth to actually play as a blood sucking demon of the night. Btw, any plans for DREAM version of the character faces?
I think it should be possible to sync Thief Guild/Dark Brotherhood reputation and ranks and introduce it as another option in this mod. Thank you for this idea!
As for the character faces - I think it makes the most sense to have this as an optional face pack. It is possible to allow overriding these new vampiric portraits with a custom "texture pack". I will add support for this in the next version (hopefully I will find a moment this weekend). I guess the hardest part will be convincing the artist to draw another 160 portraits (or make slight variations like I did) ;)
Here's a small suggestion, if it'd be possible; an option to have the game swap you to the vampire face whenever you're under the effects of blood hunger, and then back to normal once it's sated.

Thanks by the way, love the mod

Edit: Oh and btw. This might get added into DFU core at some point so you won't have to mod it.
