The description says this is compatible with DREAM, however when I load it alongside DREAM - Textures -- regardless of what settings I choose in this mod, the only texture ever displayed is DREAM's standard starry teleporter. I can't get lava or other textures to load, including the bricked up exit for non-active ones.
I've tried having your mod override DREAM as well as vice-versa and have the same result.
FYI for users of both, this conflicts with Parallax Dungeon Doors, causing crypt exits to revert to vanilla graphics. Disabling the "Replace Red Brick Textures" setting resolves the conflict
EDIT: loading RBR after Parallax allows both to function properly, please disregard
Doesn't seem to be working in the lastest version (DFU v1.1.1) Just gives me the black screen on load issue when i save in dungeons or when i try starting a new game with "start in dungeon" enabled
I had the same problem, it's the Handpainted model replacements that's breaking your mod. It's got pretty things but it seems to cause problems with a few things, and one of them is your mod.
Find that one a little hard to believe, seeing as they could have used any piece of night sky texture or something similar they have already had at hand.
Seem to me it may have had to do with some idea of hidden portals, prompting players to explore and nudge at things to find secrets, like with hidden doors.

If i disable DREAM - Textures, this mod works.

That's such a strange conflict. I wonder why.
Is there a lore reason for the portal to be red bricks?
