This mod, along with those that create encounters in the wild and basic roads, has turned DFU into a medieval fantasy simulator. I go from town to town traveling on battered paths slaying beasties, fraternizing with bar wenches, and seeing the local sites. I mean to do some dungeoneering and some questing, but I just can't stop wandering.
The constant "failed to avoid encounters" while travelling on the road and riding past friendly rangers in the guardposts really breaks the travel flow... if they're not attacking, I shouldn't have to stop for them.
I'm having trouble getting it to follow the roads. When I press 'F,' the roads are displayed correctly. Then, I press 'V' and select the 'camp out' option. However, instead of following the roads, it goes straight toward the location, which has caused my character to die a few times due to fall damage. Am I doing something wrong?
I don't think I'm having the issue with the mod not following roads, but even if you're following a road, you can still die from fall damage if the road goes down a steel incline. To me this seems to be a dealbreaker since whenever I use the auto-travel/"camp out" traveling function, I always die to fall damage within about a minute, maybe because of I have a terrain mod installed or something.
If an option could be implemented to disable fall damage while auto-traveling, that's something I'd be interested in.
Edit: The issue seems to be that I was traveling at 15X-20X speed; falls at 10X speed seem to be less of a problem. It'd be nice to be able to go faster, but 10X is fast enough to make traveling within kingdoms feasible.
You need to be standing on a road already and facing the direction you want to travel. Then press the Follow Path hotkey and you will go into travel-accelerated mode. Also, you need to manually turn at junctions then press the hotkey again to get going.
Would it be possible to add a setting that allows accelerated travel at any time, without following roads or activating from the world map?
I can see this being useful for a few reasons, but I mainly ask because it would solve a compatibility issue with ImmersiveTravel. Said mod overwrites world map travel, which blocks travel option from initiating speed up mode when selecting a town. Road travel still works as intended, but currently if you load ImmersiveTravel after Travel Options, you'd have to physically walk to every dungeon or location not connected by road. So I'm thinking a feature to just speed up time anywhere would relieve those issues and make these two great mods synergise together.
Okay! So with Roads Compatibility, is it possible to make the fast travel option to automatically use roads if you start it while on a road instead of going straight to the location? Or am I perhaps doing something wrong on my end? I seem to only follow the road when I do it manually but not from the fast travel menu.
When fast traveling on the road, my character randomly falls through the map. Not sure if it's related to this mod or another mod (or in combination with) such as Basic Roads, Wilderness Overhaul, or Distant Terrain.

Anyways, thanks for the mod. Hope you consider.
