Hm, I don't have a 21:9 ratio monitor for testing and emulating that aspect ratio on a 16:9 in unity is kind of a pain. I'll see if I can figure something out, but no promises on this one.
Very much so! I am using it with the same UI and HUD mod on top of Retro Frame and it is just glorious. I mainly play on my Steam Deck but go back and forth between it and my PC and even on Steam Deck this works and looks so beautiful. In case anybody else happens to use it, just change your resolution in the Daggerfall Unity launcher to 1280 x 720 and the log menu will fit within the framing. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to see the interest in elaborating upon the original graphics style, instead of trying to modernize the visuals. Not that I don't appreciate the modernization efforts I just prefer the original look and feel of the game and mods like this and Retro Frame are for me nearing perfection!
True enough, I just really like having everything look consistent. That's probably why I like using vanilla assets as a base for audio/visual elements in my mods. Anyone's free to make a texture override pack for other aesthetics if they prefer it.
I think this could be possible. Hm, I'll have to decouple the maximum messages with the maximum displayed lines. Either way, I'll look into it. Thanks for the idea.
I beg of you, please add support for the classic hud if possible. Even just covering where the original icons are with this would be perfect for me, since retrohud is a bit too much for me but fullscreen too little
I guess that's possible. Hm. Covering up just the buttons would be a massive pain for placement. I'll see what I can do, but it'll probably take a while before anything happens.
Finally a way to play in a true retro fashion that has a nicely ordered interface for ALL messages and a dedicated information window! And on top of that, the feature to also show World Tooltips in the window is just simply genious! :D
