☼CLOTH PHYSICS☼
-extravaganza-

(Check out the rest of the JADE Cloth Physics - CORE elements!)
[example clothes not included - wait for modders, they can do much better ones than mine!]

>>JADE IS 2.0 READY<<

OBLIGATORY MADMAN RANT
(If you are an USER, scroll down to "Installation")
This is a project that aims to hopefully enable modders to make their own physics enabled clothing (based on popular shapes and sizes), and in turn bring in cloth physics for V to the game. I spent about 2 months working in secret (told like literally one person, and it leaked anyway somehow wtf) on the initial release, because I wanted it to be as good as possible, for people to realize the potential. I didn't want to make experimental pre-alpha poop. It's not perfect and it will never be, but it is in a state in which it just works, and I'm quite happy about it.

FOR USERS:

If you are here because some mod requires JADE to work, all you have to do is:

Installation:

1. Extract the .7z and put the contents into the main game folder.

Default game folder location for:

Steam:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077
Epic:
C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Cyberpunk 2077
Gog:
C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Cyberpunk 2077

This mod does nothing on its own. It provides modders with the structure necessary to make their own physics enabled clothing.

FOR MODDERS:
(Mmm someone who can read!)

IMPORTANT:

If you plan to use JADE resources in your mod, make sure they all come from the package labeled "FOR MODDERS" under the Optional Files. I do not consent on unpacking any of JADE archives, or reuploading any of JADE stuff (that comes from the archive, and not from the "FOR MODDERS" package) anywhere. Everything you need is inside the "FOR MODDERS" package. If you want to unpack/modify/unpack JADE, you have to ask me for permissions first. I'm sorry for this, but I can't really afford someone changing few values here and there and claiming 2 months of my work as theirs.

ALLOWED (and encouraged):
- making your own stuff based on JADE (JADE based mods: using JADE as a requirement)
- including resources from "FOR MODDERS" package in your JADE based mods
- modifying resources from "FOR MODDERS" package how you see fit for use in your JADE based mods

NOT ALLOWED:
- unpacking the archive file
- including anything obtained directly from the JADE archive in any shape or form in your mods
- including any of JADE archives inside your mods (mod stealing)
- using any JADE resources (including the ones from  "FOR MODDERS") in non-JADE based mods (ie: for making a competing, independent system)

Inside the package you will find:

- a mesh (or meshes), that includes a lot of new bones, with a prefix "jade_". These are all physics enabled "dangle" bones. Whatever you attach to them, in 3d software, will move accordingly to the rules described inside JADE archives.

- an entity file (.ent), that includes all of the required parameters, and components. You can use Easy Item Additions to add your own clothing item to the game, and then replace the entity created by Easy Item Additions with the one from JADE (You will have to set up paths to your mod files using Wkit!).

- a blend file, which is simply mesh (with all the fancy bones!) exported to .fbx with Noesis and loaded into Blender (because in glb format, bones were acting weird) for Blender users. One day someone cool and good in models and 3d software will make you something better - for now you have this.

- a rig (.rig). It's advanced stuff for nerds. If you don't know what that is, then you should just leave it as is. It has all of the bone positions and parenting. You should be able to affect the properties of the cloth by moving bones around (especially thingys called "stoppers", they exist to restrict cloth movement). Moving bones further apart will result in more loose cloth. If you have a reliable method of exporting -> moving -> importing bones (in the rig), you should be able to create prettier rigs, more suited to your needs, resulting in better collisions and in general better betterness being gooder and all. When dealing with my .rig, be careful, as it has been somewhat hacked into being and is very messy.
- a readme (.txt), which includes all the additional info that's going to vary between various JADE Cloth Physics elements.
