Hello Good Day. I downloaded and installed your MOD however it is not working. Is there and updated version of this MOD compatible with the most recent update that you can add?
A bit of a necro but I'd love for some select pants and boots to get some armor in 2.0 too (maybe other small stats bonuses as well), because with the changes to how clothing works those slots get a big total of 0 functional options now, rendering them pretty much useless tbh. Just throwing that suggestion out there
+1 it is strange how they turned in the right direction with clothing but then started sprinting like the Flash... Clothing made no sense before 2.0 ... now it makes more sense but has almost no functionality... why have these slots in the first place?
Also a better balance between actual armor items like bulletproof vests and Cyberware armor values would be nice... Subdermal armor is nice and fine but a bulletproof vest (and similar items) should add a but more than 5-10% of your total armor value, even with some drawbacks like reduced speed... Its funny how some random piece of Cyberware gives you 3 times the armor value of an actual armor item...
So far I like it. One question though — would you consider expanding it to cover motorcycle helmets and the like?
Before they rejigged all of the mod slots several major versions ago to limit what could be installed where, I had a motorcycle helmet with a “limit fall damage” mod on it. Seemed appropriate enough. Just figure that considering you can no longer apply mods to them and they weigh more than others, they ought to provide more armor than, say, a pair of sunglasses of the same level.
EDIT: frakking spelling… sometimes I question having turned off autocorrect on my phone.
Thanks! I know I’m an outlier, my main V typically wears one both for protection and anonymity on the job and I pretty much exclusively use motorcycles anyway.
I wonder if I could be so bold as to make a request! I would do it myself but I cannot code.
Here it is: any chance to REMOVE armor from everything else? I installed your mod, my vest armor increased a bunch, which is great, but the clothes armor remains. I HATE IT with a passion, man. Makes no sense t-shirts should protect you from bullets. I'd love to have ONLY armor like items (like those hard combat boots, helmets and vests) have armor and everything else have no armor. Figure out the balancing later with damage mods and difficulty, that's no problem.
Any chance? Wait to hear from you, thank you again!
Subdermal Armor Level Scaling does exactly that, unfortunately using that mod nullifies the effects of this one. I don't know how to make them work together, because a combination of the two would fix the armor system completely IMO.
to keep some protection for the composite and aramid jackets while having a much more significant level of armor for the military vests, while disabling it entirely on things like hats and t-shirts.
