    Great mod, thanks!
    I'm using corsair peripherals so I'm able to create a "toggle key" macro which allows me to toggle walking on and off which is absolutely great.

    • Edit the file, search for "crouchToggle" (Ctrl+F), and put the content of the downloaded file options.txt between the "crouchToggle" block and the "switchItem" block.

      I am not understanding this one. What do I put in between crouchToggle and switchItem? What is the files options.txt? I am stuck right here and have no idea what do do next

      Yes exactly, you got it.

      I put here the result of what you should have before :
      {
      "name": "crouchToggle",
      "display_name": "LocKey#77770",
      "order": 8,
      "is_input":  true
      },
      {
      "name": "switchItem",
      "display_name": "LocKey#77771",
      "order": 9,
      "is_input":  true
      },

      and after :
      {
      "name": "crouchToggle",
      "display_name": "LocKey#77770",
      "order": 8,
      "is_input":  true
      },
      {
      "name": "walkHold",
      "display_name": "Walk (Hold)",
      "order": 9,
      "is_input": true
      },
      {
      "name": "switchItem",
      "display_name": "LocKey#77771",
      "order": 10,
      "is_input":  true
      },

    Does this make your normal, running strafe slower? I noticed a few other mods that remove diagonal speed change also make your strafe slower when not walking.

      I did some complementary tests to answer you.

      About the "jogging" speed:

      • Moving forward or backward is not slower. (Same speed as without the mod)
      • Same for moving left or right.
      • Diagonals are a bit slower (about 15%), but it doesn't feels odd to me.

      About the running speed:

      • Moving forward is not slower. (Same speed as without the mod)
      • Forward diagonals are a bit slower (about 12.5%), this is even less noticeable than when jogging.

      But I think being able to walk around without looking like a psychopath is worth these little inconveniences.

    Hello Chums! I need some help.

    I installed this mod before patch 2.0 came out and followed it's instructions, but it did not work that well. After patch 2.0 I began having these issues where the F key doesnt work in some interactions and when I enter weaponized vehicles I cant move or do anything else other than opening the phone or using the med item.

    I backed up the files before installing the mod as the creator recommends. I already tried uninstalling and erasing all mods, reverting files to the originals I backed up, creating a new savegame, verifying game files and reinstalling the game. Nothing worked.

    Do you know what could it be?

    EDIT: it somehow got fixed by re-installing the game again.

      Hello, sorry for the late response. I haven't touched the game in 2 years.
      Your issue came from the fact that the files probably changed in the 2.0, so your old backed up files were outdated too.

      Since 2.0+ introduced a lot of changes, I guess doing a clean install without any old mods is the best way to go.

    Would be nice if You update Your mod. After 1.5 it breaks some text in the game (some messages, gig names) and it became "technical" and mostly unreadable.

      Have you tried to get ride of the WalkerTranslations.archive ? This might solve your problem since the file add my own translations for the mod. If it doesn't solve the problem, then it means that my mod has nothing to do with your problem.

    DOES NOT WORK 1.5!!! WILL FLATLINE YOUR GAME. Make sure to have copies of options.json and inputcontexts.xml before replacing them

    There sure are a lot of walk mods on nexus lol, but I've found this to be the best integrated (Finally no more <NOT LOCALIZED> lol)
    I tried adding this to the Keyboard and Mouse Controls Overhaul mod (I prefer your walk to that mod's walk) since it has its own inputUserMappings.xml, and it resulted in literally all keys being unbinded all, can't select with mouse or do anything in the main menu. No idea why, do you know how I could fix that?

    The best mod for walking at least from my experience! A bit complex to install but nothing works as good as this one, walks in all directions and the speed is perfect! Thank you so much for making this.
