Sorry - I couldn't replicate your result. I updated the game to version 2.12 and tried this mod on both a body check door and a technical check door and the mod worked as intended.
Did you upgrade your stat/skill while you were looking at a door or at a window or at any other object I mentioned?
Check the 'Known Problem' part. Because how this mod works I'm temporarily updating your player stats while you are looking at a door/window and if you change anything Body/Tech related while the mod has already modified your player stats the mod will revert your stats back to what they were before you started looking at a door. That's why saving is disabled. That could explain why you lost a skill.
If you lost an upgrade point read the suggestions how to fix it.
It seems that mod changes the difficulty values of different objects. I'm changing the player stats (temporarily). This mod should be compatible with any other mod that changes difficulties.
Would be cool if you made a similar mod that does the same with Technical and Intelligence checks. Let's say my build is basically a Tech built for combat, and not so much of a Netrunner. Lot of data terminals out there with intelligence checks, this would be great for.
Most doors that say [locked] aren't real doors. They're just for show/immersion. Every door you can open has either a skill check, remote activation via quickhack or opens during a quest.

That'd be awesome.
I was looking for something like this some time ago! My character was super strong and couldn't rip a broken fence that required tech skill of 5...
So, this is very immersive!
I wonder if works with 1.6...
EDIT: Seems it does.
