Pre-patch 2.0 assessment: I think there's a good chance these bugs will get fixed, since they're changing the perks and the camo. Hopefully I can retire this mod :)

Can't believe CDPR didn't fix that themselves. The Camo is useless without it.

Can you share what you've noticed? It is now by design not a full cloak at all levels, from what I can tell.

For starters crosshair is hidden when aiming because the gun is cloaked as well and "covers" the crosshair. This of course means gun sights are unusable too.

That's not something I could fix, probably.

This mod hasn't been updated (may not be) for patch 2.0.

I hope CDPR fixed the armor formula too, it sucks that you need 5k+ armor to feel a difference in hard difficulty onward.

So what does this "PerfectCloak" do from a gameplay perspective?

Possibly nothing, but there could be a difference in how the camo performs in combat (camo does make it harder for enemies to hit you once you're in combat). That part is hard to test because the way the game calculates weather you get hit is weird.

For the detection when moving around in stealth, there's no difference, except that when "PerfectCloak" is added it works correctly all the time. Unmodded, Epic and Rare behave just like Legendary when you don't have Ghost perk for non-combat stealth.

Thanks for the mod. Just checking that it is compatible with the Better Optical Camo mod?

It should be, based on what it does, but I don't know.

That's possible, but not really something I'm interested in doing. I feel like there may be a mod for this already, but maybe it's for berserk and not camo.

"Activate to turn almost invisible for 10/15 seconds, greatly reducing the likelihood of detection (cooldown 60/45 seconds)"

It's working as intended. Gives you reason to upgrade to legendary for full, real stealth.

I think you're misunderstanding what the bug is.

      1) are you quoting https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Optical_Camo as if that's the text in the game? That's not what it says in the game.

      2) If you use Epic or Rare Camo without any perks/other bonuses, you are undetectable until you take the Ghost perk. You're invisible until you take a second ability that should make you even harder to detect, and they you become visible again. See video demo here:

I use your Stealthrunner Mod. From the description of this mod it seems like:

    1. Ghost perk makes Optical Camo not work at all correctly?
    2. If I want the intended reduced visibility, and not full stealth until I get the legendary version then I can't use Stealthrunner mod?

I'm not sure how you're getting that. There is a bug with camo in combination with Ghost and/or other game effects that reduce your visibility. This mod fixes the bug, and Stealthrunner helpfully also includes the same fix that this mod does.

Dude! Ty for making this. I had a feeling this was another case of something not working as intended and it turns out it actually was.

    My choom!

This is the very first mod I went looking for after I saw that optic camo appeared to just straight up not work. Coming here, reading why… I don’t understand if it’s an unfortunate bug or imbecilic design decision on CDPRs part.

Either way, you fixed it. You made it function as intended. The cyberware literally said it makes you invisible, it totally didn’t make you invisible, and now it totally does because of you.

    Thank you.

You could make a bug report to CDPR. I've reported lots of bugs to them but they rarely get fixed. I suppose very few people report these kinds of bugs, as opposed to the game breaking stuff like broken quests which they seem to be fixing with every patch.
