Just thought I would leave a comment showing my appreciation of this mod. I absolutely love the Sci-Fi dialogue in the music. I have over 300 mods, haven't completed the game yet but this mod has turned the ambience of my game into what I was trying to achieve... Love the Robocop track.
Congratulations on a great mod dude, amazing walking through Night City and noticing how different it feels with different music playing. The place is dire. lol
I appreciate your appreciation! thank you for the kind words, the robocop song is definitely a top favorite of mine too, make sure you check out the new and improved "black wall radio reborn" and "radio.dystopia.rebuilt" its more of that style of synth if you want more of that.
Even though I haven't heard everything, I'm loving this so far, and I can tell that a lot of care was put into the track selection. I only have one very minor suggestion: There are a few scenes where the developers set a nearby radio to be turned on, tuned to a specific station, queued to a specific track, for the sake of ambience or immersion. The first one you run into is when Jackie drives you home after your first mission with him, he puts on The Dirge FM, and GR4VES by Konrad OldMoney is playing. This is such a significant aesthetic choice that I feel like it shouldn't be disturbed.
I'd only recommend that you insert some Tweak scripts to temporarily switch off the mod's radio for those moments. Either that, or pick some songs from your own stations to play during those moments instead. You've put some heavy ass tracks in here that will get the job done, and going by your taste in music, I'm sure you can do a more than adequate job of it, it's just that it's more work for you to do it that way.
there IS a file that changes those specific songs to match my mod and it IS included in the main download and has been since day one, I don't need to make any changes, you need to install the mod properly.
Followed the Video exactly and there where no changes can i get confirmation from someone that this still works? I want to experience the Modders vison
it still works. all you gotta do is move the one folder to the main install directory, if its not working, theres a conflict somewhere, or you moved it to the wrong folder.
Really like the idea of this... but also kinda wish this wasn't just a pile of replacements. The mod scene in CP seems to be very much in replacers for lots of the old stuff (I'm new to even adding mods on the game so I'm assuming this is from game limitations?) and I very much dislike replacements-- tends to be very messy and much more annoying to manage over time.
I actually chose to replace them so that they would be immersive and play throughout the entire city and on every radio, all the clubs, shops, and songs in advertisements, not just in the car when using the radio. Replacing them was the least messy option as well as the only option that doesn't need to be updated because CDPR isn't gonna change the names of the song files, they might with the expansion, but I doubt it, and it doesn't rely on any other mod, I've only needed to update this to adjust sound levels in the songs so it fits the world proper.
Head Control System a two piece consisting of Kristoffer Rygg from Ulver and Daniel Cardoso from Sirius and Re:aktor, they had one album called Murder Nature almost 20 years ago. Their cover of kiss from a rose is not on that album sadly, best way to get it is to rip it off youtube or find it on a p2p/torrent site. Link is to youtube version of the song.
Amebix/Tau Cross, Zounds, Misfits, Neurosis, Ulver. You just made my day right now. Great choice of great bands, and not limited to specific genres.Such a magnificent choice of bands. If you have plan for any further updates, I let here few of my suggestions too, with few YT clips:
Much appreciated! I wanted to keep to the original themes for each station just with music that would actually exist mainstream in a dystopian world like night city. I don't plan on updating this with new songs, mines not really built to switch songs out as it replaces songs throughout the entire game, instead of adding them like most radio station mods that use RadioEXT(easy for everyone to use to add a new station if you wanted to try) so every piece needs to fit precisely from the song length to the mood of the cutscene that the song plays in, except for the samurai ones, can't change those in johnnys past or the final samurai gig, and i tried. I have a lot of songs on here so I'm not 100% sure if it made it through the cut list but there may be a sisters of mercy cover(never land) by the band Heirs on one of the stations, but it may have been cut, it was 13 minutes long and all instrumental so lots of repeating, if I did cut it, and i make a 2nd overhaul, it'll be in that one for sure because it really fit.
I have no idea if that will work honestly. I tried to replace some tracks early on while keeping others and it didn't seem to work without all of the tracks, even the originals, in the mod, but that was many updates ago, something may have changed, or not.
those numbers are the track ID's, if you wanted to try to remove a certain track, you're gonna need to figure out which track matches the ID of the one you want to remove.
with any song you'd like to change, you'll have to look at the song title. song title usually pops up as I'm switching to the radio station. shows station name and then switches to the song currently playing. match up the song title listed with the WEM codes in the spreadsheet, then match the code with the one found inside the .archive
but keep in mind you have to match up the length of the song with the vanilla song or it'll be cut short or it'll have a long silence at the end
I think it would be a lot easier to just make a new station from scratch than trying to do any of that, some of these songs I used are not online, so if you don't know what they sound like, then you're gonna be doing a lot of guesswork. but if you are dead set on it, all the info needed is included in the track list files in my mod.

Song IDs listed under "WEM file"
