Updated for Cyberpunk 2077 version 2.01! Versions with disabled 3D effect will take a little longer, I'm investigating something. Thank you for coming back!
If you want to support me beyond downloading my mods, swing by my YouTube channel and drop a like or subscription. That would be greatly appreciated. Love you all and thank you for all the kind words in the comment section of Nexus Mods and beyond.

If everything is working correctly, my mod will not cause you to drop any frames per second. If there are any instances of my UI changes causing an FPS drop, please let me know so I can debug and fix it.

I added an optional version that has Chromatic Aberration disabled. You can see a comparison in the IMAGES tab. My UI is white, therefore you can clearly see what Chromatic Aberration does to the user interface - enabled by default in vanilla Cyberpunk.
I will personally use the disabled CA version for now, but for the time being, I decided to keep the enabled (vanilla) version as the main file.
Three equal shots of gin with black cherry sparkling water, served in a frosted crystal glass with a quarter-sized serving of simple syrup frozen at the bottom. That should recreate the visual effect, either way it'll taste pretty good.
I believe this is what you're looking for. Even though it's not presently working for me, I can confirm that it does work because it was working as soon as I installed it. Something I've installed since is somehow overwriting it, so be aware that that's a thing that can happen and don't give up if you don't notice a difference at first. In my case, load order doesn't seem to make any difference, I think this is a namespace conflict on my end.
I am both happy and sad that the first mod I install after every patch, this one of course, is no longer needed as a mod.
Right? It's a tiny little bit bittersweet! We'll see, maybe there is something leftover that I can still enable/disable if CDPR missed anything.
Grats on the recognition! Even if it's a little indirect, haha
Thank you =]
I feel vindicated because I quite disliked these two effects from the very moment I first launched Cyberpunk 2077. It took me a while before I got around to making the mod. It can sometimes feel like you're going against someone's art direction when making disruptive/reductive mods that remove in-game features, but I just couldn't stand these two effects. And now it's ACTUALLY an option in the game for everyone - including console players, who couldn't ever use the mods to tackle this issue.
I think the art direction thing goes out of the window when videogame companies insist on putting silly effects that cause eye strain. Like it wouldn't be so bad if it were some momentary thing but the UI you spend most of the playtime staring at? I had to resort to just disabling most of the UI sometime in 2021 and never looked back.
The Lens distortion issue preventing the 3D removal part of this mod to work properly on 2.x is about to be a thing of the past starting with 2.1 since they announced a new accessibility section in settings with a toggle for it.
Didn't catch that at first but the other toggle you highlighted in the top stickied post will do the 2D part of your mod in vanilla. What a big heal indeed !
