Please update this mod. As of 2.0 I still have to comb through menus to untrack quests. And of course, the moment I do literally anything it automatically tracks some random quest I don't care about again. Forcing me to stop playing and go through the menus AGAIN to untrack it.
Ops, apparently it won't work exactly as expected. The name of the quest disappears but the map still annoying with the path in yellow. Better wait for updates all the mods, with time.
Exactly as Voltron said. My issue is when the track simply jumps to the main quests after I'm done with random gigs. I think devs did this in 2020 to rush us maybe, so we wouldn't have time to see the world. But things are better and fixed now, now I do want to see the world, but the damn tracker keeps automatically saying "go do the main quests and forget the world" haha
But yes, at least now by standard you can just click on the journal and deactivate it temporarily.
If that happened to you then open Journal and track a quest. Then also go into your game settings, manually turn HUD element for quest tracker if it's still off.
Oh yes, I was panicked when I discovered that yesterday. I thought I would have to uninstall my game and all the mods and start over, but luckily It was just the HUD option that was disabled in settings. Still, thank you for your response!
That's a different issue, sadly not to my knowledge. You could find the individual quest codes and mark them as complete via Cyber Engine tweaks console, that's about it.
Found this, while it might be broken now I may still look into it as a viable solution.. https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/740?tab=description
When using this mod, my mission tracker/GPS constantly reactivates itself literally within 1-2 minutes after deactivating it while exploring the city/driving around.
Idk if this is the mod or if it's completely unrelated, but it's annoying as all fuck. Does the game auto-track s#*! when you get into the vicinity of an unfinished mission/gig? And if so, do you know how tf to stop that from happening?
Thank you btw, the disable function works just fine but it'd be nice if the missions would literally stay off permanently until manually reactivated.. sorry, probably not something to do with your mod but I'm not going to use it either since I have to lean forward and press the keybind every other moment or so to keep the tracker off.
Well it is possible to do a lot of things now that some new tools exist but I am not currently working on a new version of this mod.
There is a lot of ways to fix your issue (tiny changes to my mod). Could add an intermittent untrack function that is called every 60 seconds or so as long as a boolean 'tracking' is false, and a hotkey which simply flip-switches the boolean between true and false.
You could try asking around on the Cyberpunk modding discord and see if someone is willing to either fork my mod or make their own or maybe even already knows of some mod that fixes the issue you're having better than my old mod.
I hope you can find a solution because I agree that would be frustrating indeed.
I'm not sure if it's because of your mod, but there is a problem, sometimes, with quests optionnal objectives. The quest tracker (and so the quest path on minimap) auto-switch from optionnal objective to main objective. I have to go to the quest journal and manually select the optionnal objective to track it again. It can happen several times.
The optionnal one. I just did the quest "Happy Together" : the main objective was to talk with the 2 cops in front of the Appartment, and an optionnal objective was to first search for "Andrew’s niche". I had to manually select the optionnal objective to display the quest path maybe 6 or 7 times during the trip to the Columbarium.
That does not really sound like a problem with my mod however I haven't been progressing the main story much so maybe I haven't noticed yet. Here's a possible debugging process (to find out if you can fix it yourself, assuming it has something to do with my mod): when the game switches you to Main quest objective, press the "untrack" button and THEN go to journal and pick an optional objective. See if that stops it from autoswitching (as you just un-tracked main quest, there's no way the game would try to track it again, unless it's a bug with the game itself or another mod that you have).
To me it just sounds like the game is trying to track two quests at the same time, so maybe untracking the main quest would help before tracking something else.
Sure, I'll add it later today or tomorrow. I'll have you know that you can manually disable the element completely right now but it's tiresome to go to Settings every time, I'll add a toggle version for you :)
Thanks! :D Edit: but maybe never mind. I just thought of it that maybe this was changed with the 1.2 patch and it is: the option Display Marker can now be toggled On or Off. But not with a hotkey.
Yes, it can be toggled on/off in the settings but that doesn't untrack the quest which means the minimap pathing is still present. As per request, I created such a hotkey while keeping the original hotkey as well. Please download the optional file I just uploaded, you will have access to two keybinds and you can use them interchangeably. Try it out :)

I'll try your tip, though, and I'll let you know.
Thanks for the confirmation!
Would it be possible to add an option that keeps the quest active but only remove the on-screen mention of it?

Great job, thanks!!
