I built it only for my own tastes. Originally it was part of SCPIT - Engine Tweaks and Breathing. I shared SCPIT on Nexus to say thanks for all the great mods I've used over the years. So it's only logical to share Organic Hair as well.
Everyone is free to to use it or not. Whether you like the result is up to you. Feedback is welcome, questions are possible, but I don't want to argue about good taste. Some people have it. some don't, and some never will know... THX
The year is 2077. There is not a single piece of organic food to be found on planet. Everything is highly processed synth meat, artificial vegetables. But organic hair, now that is trendy!
Serious question: does this work with hair wigs that modders created as clothes item to be bought in Virtual Atelier and worn as equipment?
Good question! I only use CCXL hair. If I had to guess, I'd say it depends on whether the game recognises it as hair and displays it as such. If someone has tried this and can say for sure, I would be grateful for this information. THX
So I just tried this mod. This is already a must have for me, the kind of mod I won't play without ever again. I am someone who loves hairs and always feel like the "plastic" effect we can see in most of games kinda f* up with the global game, alwayys feeling that "plastic wig" aspect is unimmersive. I didn't felt like it was that much of a problem in CP77, until I tried this mod. I don't know for other people, but for me it works really good, and except some rendering effect under specific lights (like right under a neon), where we can have some reflections so bright the hairs can be White-Greyish, which clearely comes from my LUT (and other visual mods), except that everything is now so much better than before ! (And tbh, I believe I remember the game doing this flashy white hairs even without the mod, so I won't blame the modder!)
Once again, this is now a must have mod for me ! Thanks for your work, I barelyy never comment under mods, but this time I had to as I can't endorse it (yet ?). I hope I can do it soon, cause it deserves visibility ! :)
(P.S. : I saw people saying the screenshots doesn't help as it's so far from their final aspect, but for me it's quite close to it, and I don't have a hundred mods equipped... Yet. :p So I don't know why they don't end up the same way I do, but I am really satisfied ! :D )
The result of the mod depends on your own settings of the game. As with most mods that make visual changes. However, the engine uses the same settings for the before and after screenshots and the point of view is the same. So everyone can see with just 1 click before/after. That was exactly my point. Whether you want to find out how it looks on your screen and if you like it is up to you...
Thank you for the mod! It's looks great but in some hairstyles the color becomes too light. Is there a setting I can change in the ini to mitigate this?
sure, you can lower "AlbedoMultiplier" and "MultiScatter". That should reduce the light. It's not easy to find a value that fits. When it fits for some hairstyles, it may suck for others... ;)
Oops, sorry, I didn't notice Preem Hair was in the description. Well, then no point in anything else, this mod will be godly in making things better. Nice one mod author! Already downloaded it and will be used!
Im always thankfull for all the great mods people are creating, sometime gamers become too demanding on the creators; most do their hard work for the love of the game and gain very little for it...
