Ambient Sound Mixer

Customize ambient audio selection as per your preference. Use Mod Settings to individually toggle set of ambient sounds.

For example, you can now entirely mute all advertisement announcements or random sex noises and moans - and not just the ones from TVs.

Important note: You must reload save/game to see changes in settings to be applied. They are not real-time.

Full list of sounds that can be toggled

NC has great ambience so most of these toggles are disabled by default.

Arguably some don't really need a mute option like interior ambience or quest ambience - but I've exposed it anyways if you want to play around with it.

City Ambience
  • Advert announcements
  • Random sex noises
  • Industrial sounds - metal clanks, factory noises, etc
  • Vehicle traffic - not all vehcile traffic is muted, primarily horns are muted completey and engines are toned down for NPC vehicles
  • Crowd chatter
  • TV sounds
  • Other device sounds (vending machines, servers, etc.)
  • Miscellaneous city ambience sounds (neon hums, toilets, etc)

Interior Ambience
  • Mute all interior sounds - this is quite broad so not really useful for normal gameplay. Disabled by default.

Exterior Ambience
  • Weather sounds
  • Environmental ambience such as sparks, steam, garbage, debris, etc
  • Nature sounds such as insects, etc
  • Foliage such as tree leaves, bushes, etc

Quest & Location Ambience
  • Mute quest and location-specific sounds. Again quite broad, and you probably don't want to disable this for normal gameplay. Also disabled by default.

You can also set a background ambience sound. This is primarily from the Zen master meditation quests. Some are more louder than others, still working on fixing that, and adding more background ambience presets in the future
