Yes it works, but that is a standard replacer only as far as I know so it won't add graphics to all of the new posters unless the mod creator adds more graphics for it.
The only 4x replacers for this mod at time of writing is mine and EmreHQ. You can use blade runner mod in combination with those if you want by giving it priority in your load order. Load priority should be
I just wanted to say, between this mod, 4x Vending Machines, Nova Traffic, and Nova Crowds, just these mods can inject a degree of randomness into the gameworld that really brings it to life in an amazingly realistic way. Highly endorsed even if you're not using things that expand the range of possibilities (but you should).
I can look into it, but I'm not sure which poster you are talking about. Can you plz give a pic or timestamp of a video or coords or something so I can find it?
Replacing graphics is the responsibility of other mods, this framework simply extends and randomizes poster slots, which are vanilla posters by default.
Graphics mod authors who want to keep some vanilla posters in addition to adding new custom posters can definitely do this. Additionally users can get this effect by installing a standard vanilla poster replacer with higher mod priority over a compatible 4x graphics mod. I think there is a high res vanilla poster replacer
Hella preem work on this, nremind! Very nice framework that I imagine will be very useful for those mod authors that like to give Night City visual makeovers---can't wait to see what they cook up with this! THANK YOU for this, my choomba! Endorsed! \o/ ♥
I've been waiting for a mod like this since Cyberpunk came out! Thank you so much! I can't seem to get any of the custom textures to load, though. I'm using Wkit to import all the files into a new mod, change the textures, pack as redmod, then install with Vortex. I've tried loading the new mod above and below this mod in load order but can't seem to get anything to load in-game other than the original texture files. Any ideas?
And seriously, thank you again. So excited to get this working.
What you are trying to do will work. I don't have much experience with Vortex, but I know that there is a "deploy" mods button that you should click every time you change load order so make sure you did that.
To troubleshoot, I would put my -4x- NSFW Posters Androids mod as the highest priority in your load order, deploy and start game. If this still doesn't change the textures in game, then maybe something is overwriting outside of Vortex. In this case, check for the files in your Cyberpunk 2077 game folder (see uninstallation description for this mod for more details). You might have clicked install mod in Wolvenkit at some point and it installed the mod at those locations. Since you are using Vortex to manage the mods, you don't want those files there, so make sure to delete them.
Thanks so much for the fast reply. The 4x NSFW Androids Posters work fine, and I even tried adjusting the files from that mod to make mine, but no luck. It still just loads the base textures, not the custom ones. (It shows androids on the posters but not from any of the custom textures, just the base ones) It's the same as when I try to make a mod from this mod. I've loaded them in different orders with Vortex, made sure the folders are cleaned out, and deployed the mods every time.
In Wolvenkit, make sure that you use the Import tool to import the PNG back into xbm files. When you click on the xbm, you should see a preview of your images in the file. Then make sure that your mod that you modified has highest priority load order in Vortex.
If that still fails, then I would just install the framework and your modified mod manually and start the game without Vortex to take it out of the equation.
I've done the importing and the previews show fine, but I'll try testing out all the variations and manual installation tomorrow and get back to you. Thanks, nremind!
Good luck, and if I may suggest also try the cyberpunk modding discord if you still can't figure it out. I don't speak much on there, but I think they are more familiar with the common pitfalls and explain better than me!
I figured it out! Just had to update Codeware, Red4ext, ArchiveXL and it worked like a charm. Both the original mod and my added poster designs. Thank you so much, nremind!
Glad to hear you figured it out. Nice job! I guess it's a good time to remind people who read this that this mod uses ArchiveXL, which has its own dependencies, so make sure everything is updated if the framework doesn't work.
Hi, good work! I'm going to start on a poster set for your framework.
Is there any way that a separate set of posters can be created for the Johnny Silverhand flashback sequences? It always feels wrong that in the vanilla game, some of the same things from ~2020 can be seen in 2077 (like Samurai posters everywhere).
Thanks, it's nice to hear feedback from a fellow mod creator! Sure, it is possible. I could simply exclude all posters of that type from being randomized, but I think the preferred solution to keep maximum variability elsewhere in the game, is to filter by location. So I would need to find these in game first or be given the details. I currently don't have saves for these cutscenes, so it might take a while.
Those posters aren't unique, as in they appear outside of the cutscenes throughout Night City, correct? Anyway, good luck on your mod!
Thanks! I think it's possible by creating the flashback posters/newspapers etc as their own entities and then replacing the vanilla ones with them, but world edits are something I'm nowhere near brave enough to try yet!
When my mod's finished I'll upload with the naming convention "4X posters: [name of mod]" so all people have to do is search '4X'
Um there's the first one when Johnny plants the bomb in Arasaka Tower, and the second one where Alt is kidnapped and he goes to the Atlantis club to recruit Rogue. Think that's all?? Still working on the mod for your framework, 4x is a lot of posters :D
Thinking about it - could you do something similar for the magazines? Every shop sells the same ones, and there's been some nice magazine mods that would fit well into the 4x framework. Sorry to be a mod beggar, but it seems like another great opportunity to make Night City much more visually diverse. More variety is always better!
No problem, I'll consider the magazines. Other people have suggested other stuff as well. I currently don't have plans though.
I excluded randomization of the posters in the building of that first Johnny flashback, so you can do whatever you want with those without conflict with my framework. Same with other poster immersion locations. I'm currently replaying the game when I have time, so I can check the second Johnny flashback when I get there.
Yes, it will work but 75% of randomized posters will be vanilla unless that mod author makes more posters to be compatible with this framework. I recommend using a 4x posters graphics mod, or use Wolvenkit to swap out textures to your liking (just don't publish to nexus with not your own work)

Dayum! That's max nova, choomba *pointing at Changelogs* ! Hella nice!

Will the vanilla poster be replaced with one the custom ones or will they remain and enhanced by 3 custom posters?

Found a gameplay clip of a Johnny flashback. https://youtu.be/1GsqOWeBshg?si=4Jebj-8ztJWSG9-X&t=7548
Do you know if this is the only flashback with posters that should not be randomized, or are there more? I can't remember xD
