If I may suggest 2 ways to improve the feel of the wall jump mechanic:

    • the decision if a walljump is valid should use the player's velocity vector instead of the direction the camera is facing

      • this would make it a lot easier to achieve fluid forward movements as you can jump sideways while sprinting, tap the wall with your feet (not your face), and get a nice wall jump in the general forward direction
      • opens the potential to enable Titanfall 2 style wall runs
    • if the above check fails, but the player is facing (ish) a wall, then the walljump should have a higher upward component

      • allows the player to choose if they are wanting to move quickly, or get up somewhere

I might see if I can fiddle with the lua. I don't know what game state variables are available, and to what extent any of the above is possible.

Just wondering if you got anywhere with this and if you did, is it possible for you to share?

well, if I'm looking more or less straight at a wall or up a wall, I'm just trying to get a boost straight up (so I'd probably redirect momentum straight upwards (so V is in range of a ledge and pull herself up, that mechanic auto-triggers if you're close enough). if I jump at a wall at an angle , I'd probably treat it like hitting a mirror, just redirecting the momentum at the equal angle.. like a mirror for a laser pointer. And if the angle is too wide, I'm trying to wall-run, and that's a different beast that has little practical utility in a game anyways (and I think V already does that within reason, anyways... it's just, well, a step above realistically useless :D ).

The perk that grants more air movement helps a lot with this.

Tip: Get the perk that increases aerial movement. This mod goes from 9/10 to 11/10 with it. You can megaman jump up a wall !!

One thing I would love is if the mod removed the animation from falling from great highs or (imo preferably but idk if its doable) increased the height require to trigger the animation.

V can already wall-run :D it's just that gravity is a thing. But if you find a surface that is even slightly angled instead of 90 degree up. you can sprint on it for a couple metres before gravity reboots.. or you jump

would be cool if i could use the reenforced tendons and wall jump without having the lynx paws, still rather us the reenforced tendons than the upgraded lynx paws. perhaps can be changed in the mod settings.

awesome. unlocks a lot of areas and you feel like a parkour badass doing it. is there any way to direct the force more upwards? i seem to get kicked off away from the wall. lowering the force helps though

the walljump is inspired by titanfall/apex, which is a mechanic used to bounce off a wall onto parallel objects or over enemies heads while reloading etc. where you look w/ your camera also matters. look almost straight up while jumping, might help.

does this not work with immersive first person or custom quickslots? I have no mods affecting my cyberwear only things that change my viewmodels and perks when I use a controller atleast holding A when I hit a wall does nothing

when using multiple leg cyberware, using original jump enhancements block the use of this mod. i. e. i have charged jump installed, if i charge jump at a wall i can't walljump. if i normal uncharged jump at a wall it works perfectly.

just a heads up for cyberware ex users

edit: played around a little while. it seems this mod also disables walking. even if i set walk speed boost to 0, toggle walk key does nothing while lynx paws are equipped.

Confirm. Doesn't work with "Cyberware Ex" like double jump incomatible with long jump.

Weird to reply to an old comment, but installing Advanced Control fixed all the walking issues I had with this mod installed

I couldn't realize why I couldn't find this mod. I just noticed you have it tagged as a Translation mod. I and many other have the translation tag blocked, because we play in english. It'd probably be better to tag it as Gameplay instead

So I installed it manually, dragging the folder to my 2077 directory like with all other mods, but there's no native UI menu for them, nor does the lynx paws have the "Wall jump" flavor text on them. Is there a special way you need to install it other than like other mods?
