Added a new optional file that adds 30 new variants without any mounted weapons. You will be able to fire out of these using your regular guns. Note that you can't shoot through the front window in first person mode because of the armored Crystal Dome plating covering it. But you can shoot through it in third person. It reuses the icons and store images from the missile version. As making those would take an hour or two of work. I may do proper icons at some point. But for now these will be fine. The new weaponless variant is called the Type-66-B and sells for a lower price than the weapon equipped version. And has a lower street cred requirement.
I made this very quickly and have only done minimal testing on some variants. So there may be a very tiny chance i accidentally deleted a component or two too many 😅
I don't suppose you could make a version that improves the handling. A big reason I never use the nomad type-66 Quadra (aside from the terrible first-person view, xD) was its atrocious handling. Normal Type-66 Quadras handle pretty decently, and I absolutely LOVE the handling from the Mizutani Samum, can easily weave through traffic without accidentally spinning out of control. Just like with the Archer Quartz "sidewinder" the nomad Type-66 loves to drift, to the point it has almost no tire traction, so you can't weave through traffic at high speeds. It seems that the CPR wanted to make it easy to drift in the vehicle, but any decent driver will know how to drift with most vehicles. I can still drift with the Samum, actually I can drift better with it because I am the one initiating the drift. Anyway, I hope you consider modifying the stats of your standalone version, perhaps increasing the top speed, (I use proper MPH measurements, so even with car modification shop, the car only tops out at 110. Most family sedans can do that tho. xD...) And perhaps give it similar handling to the Mizutani Samum. Regardless, love the color designs, and obviously, the missiles. LoL! Seems weird to me they didn't make a version with missiles from the start. o.O
No, i have no interest in modifying that. If you want to change the values yourself, you could use the Cyber Vehicle Overhaul mod and make your own changes to the nomad type-66 tweaks it has and just add the vehicle IDs from this mod to it.
For example in the quadra_type66_javelina_tweak.lua file you will find the section: --Setting the data to specified vehicles VehicleBaseFunctions.setVehicleSettings(fullVehicleName, VehicleEngineData, VehicleDriveModelData, VehicleDataPackage, VehicleWheelDimensionsSetup, false) --VehicleBaseFunctions.setVehicleSettings("Vehicle.q114_quadra_type66_nomad", VehicleEngineData, VehicleDriveModelData, VehicleDataPackage, VehicleWheelDimensionsSetup, false) --VehicleBaseFunctions.setVehicleSettings("Vehicle.q000_nomad_v_sport2_quadra_type66_nomad_quest", VehicleEngineData, VehicleDriveModelData, VehicleDataPackage, VehicleWheelDimensionsSetup, false) VehicleBaseFunctions.setVehicleSettings("Vehicle.cs_savable_quadra_type66_nomad", VehicleEngineData, VehicleDriveModelData, VehicleDataPackage, VehicleWheelDimensionsSetup, false) VehicleBaseFunctions.setVehicleSettings("Vehicle.v_sport2_quadra_type66_nomad_player", VehicleEngineData, VehicleDriveModelData, VehicleDataPackage, VehicleWheelDimensionsSetup, false) VehicleBaseFunctions.setVehicleSettings("Vehicle.v_sport2_quadra_type66_nomad_quest", VehicleEngineData, VehicleDriveModelData, VehicleDataPackage, VehicleWheelDimensionsSetup, false) VehicleBaseFunctions.setVehicleSettings("Vehicle.v_sport2_quadra_type66_nomad_wraith", VehicleEngineData, VehicleDriveModelData, VehicleDataPackage, VehicleWheelDimensionsSetup, false)
Simply add a new line under that with the vehicle IDs from the above sticky post so it would look something like this: VehicleBaseFunctions.setVehicleSettings("Vehicle.vcd_px_sport2_quadra_type66_nomad.nightrider", VehicleEngineData, VehicleDriveModelData, VehicleDataPackage, VehicleWheelDimensionsSetup, false) And that will apply the handling changes to this mods variants. And you are then free to tweak the values in the files however you want.
Hi, do you think you could add a feature (or maybe an entirely new mod) that fixes the car windows of the Type-66 cars flashing constantly when driving in first person? This wasn't a problem in recent patches, but now all the "CrystalDome" cars like the Type-66 Hoon and Caliburn have this problem. This is happening in a fresh, unmodded playthrough as well.
Video of what I'm talking about: https://imgur.com/gallery/ycKGPyo
I wanted to stop by and say how much I enjoy this mod, its changed how I play CP77. In 1.5/1.6 I would fast travel everywhere or run, until I could afford a Javelina, the only car I seem able to drive faster than I could run. Now, with the free Hoon, I was pretty excited to give PL a try. With this mod I can have a garage stocked with all my favorites, and I find that I drive everywhere now. I often load into the game just to drive around NC and enjoy the sights. I cycle through the cars each time I need to call a car, so I get to use all of them. If I had to pay full cost, that would not be an option. So thank you for your work! :)
I know there's a way to toggle the light bar right? I could've swore I read how to toggle but now looking I can't seem to find where, maybe I'm mixing mods up... Is there a way to toggle the lightbar? I did notice it was on whenever I first launched my game but then once I went away from my vehicle and spawned it, the lightbar was off but I could ofc still toggle the normal headlights. (Love the red hue headlight touch btw.)
Default button is tapping V i think. But check keybindings, as it's same button for headlights. Except you simply press once instead of holding it down to toggle it. Sometimes it doesn't seem to light up, i think it's because i took too much car damage or something. Try respawning the car in those cases.
That's the same street rep to buy the regular Type-66 Javelina. If you don't like it, then you can easily edit the value yourself in the .yaml file.......
