Really liked this mod in the past, worked fine, but as of the last patch something is fishy...

Sat, 02 Mar 2024 11:17:20 GMT - warn: child process exited with code: 8
    Sat, 02 Mar 2024 11:17:20 GMT - error: [cyberpunk2077] V2077 Load Order: REDmod deployment 1709378230412 failed! {"exitCode":8}
Sat, 02 Mar 2024 11:17:20 GMT - warn: error notification message=Oh no! Something went wrong with the REDmod deployment. Check the log for details!, title=REDmod Deployment Failed!

I get that when I try to install/re-install...

I like the mod but now, whenever I shoot or hit npcs' cars with my weapons, they don't try to run away which feels unrealistic...

Uninstalled for the same reason, a grenade exploded under a car and they didn't even react, I'd rather they run away like crazy than stand there like dummy targets. It's very unrealistic, thanks anyway.

This mod is for people who don't want NPCs to freak out for each bump. If you have a lot of instances where you (accidentally or otherwise) attack the civilians, throw grenades at them, fire at them, etc, I don't think this mod is for you.

    Thanks for the mod!
I've been waiting for a long time for something that will correct drivers' panic at any scratch.
But there is one drawback: drivers COMPLETELY ignore the dangerI fired at several dozen cars and not a single driver tried to drive away in fear🤔
Is it possible to somehow divide the reaction into levels of danger?

Is there a way to do it without Redmod? I just don't want to use it. I try to stay with all redscript mods.

Then wait for Redscript to update. This mod does not need an update for the redscript version.

Thanks for the reply. I know you are dealing with a lot to update and maintain the mods. I'll happily keep using this mod.

This is awesome. One question, is there any way for you to improve the traffic AI behavior in general? Like many times they dont move, and stay in the middle of the road passively. Or they dont move either when the traffic light is green. I love this game but the traffic AI kills my immersion at times

A bit of trial/error/testing is required for this, you can mix and match the values in .ini files from Traffic mods to suit to your liking, mods such as "Red Traffic Lights", "Realistic Traffic Density", "Cyber Drift - Crowds and Traffic" all have .ini files that modify traffic, so just take all or some of them, see what values are in there and what they're trying to do and modify values if needed, then just add just the .ini file to the game (Cyberpunk 2077\engine\config\platform\pc). Some of these mods will help with the green light issue.

As for vehicles staying in the middle of the road, I asked the dev of Realistic Traffic Density and they said it's a bug within the game that's seemingly tough to fix.

If they don't move I usually bump them with my car. With this mod they will drive away normally, though they might curse at you first.

Agree I don't know what I did but I started noticing this a lot more, cars just stop in the middle of the road all the time. Game really doesn't like too many settings changed at once or it seems to bug out all sorts of things, almost have to restart your whole computer to get it back to normal.

I have a problem with this. When I call my vehicle, most of the time it is returned. Parked NPC cars are also half flipped or bugged in a texture.

I mean I personally still experience weird vehicle stuff, even in completely unmodded vanilla game, like: vehicles dropping out of the sky, randomly exploding on the road, NPCs riding invisible cars. Though it's rare... it's there. The spawn system is cray cray.

I was seeing the no car floating drivers before I ever modded the game. I just watched about 10 minutes of traffic, and it's a whole lot smoother flowing than it was. Now they bump each other and it actually gets them moving forward. They still drive like idiots, but now there are very few road blocking traffic pile-ups. Still occasionally just explode or fly off the overpass, but that is kind of funny now.

They seem to swear a whole lot more now that they aren't freaking out and screaming. I still hear them scream, but mostly when the gangs are plowing through the traffic. It actually makes some of the gang chases so much harder and more deadly. Without all the npcs flipping out they can really move around in the cars. I got splattered all over the road a few times already.

That happens without this mod. Since I've done about 99% of the side jobs and gigs, I mostly focus on doing car delivery gigs for El Capitano and looking for hidden spots/easter eggs, etc. that other players have missed, so I'm all too familiar with the following:

      • invisible cars driven by a visible driver
      • cars stopping in their lanes without any reason
      • cars you notice ahead in the distance vanishing as you get closer
      • cars getting destroyed by pots or bumps
      • cars that pass through each other without any collision detection
      • spooked or drugged drivers that keep smashing into other cars until they eventually wreck their vehicles so much that they explode

These glitches exist without this mod, there is no reason for pestering the mod author about them.

Yes, it is very annoying. Lately, all I've noticed is that they stop for no reason and that they go crazy and ram everything in their path. And the joke is that in 2020-2021 they were adequate. Yes, maybe they were completely stupid and couldn't drive around anything, didn't react to the player. But at least they were moving steadily without any problems. It really pisses me off. When I'm just driving calmly and some idiot bumps into me. It would be better if they left it as it was in the early versions of the game. Maybe I'm wrong.

This is amazing! Can i request muting NPCs that LAY ON THEIR HORN FOR NO REASON. I have started so many murders because an NPC decides you standing on the sidewalk is somehow in their way and want the whole of night city to know about it!

Had a tiny suggestion.  The NPC bark comes out in the same instant that the bump occurs.  It might be somewhat more realistic to delay their verbal response by a short, randomized moment.

    very nice! def need this

can you also apply this logic to npcs that spazz out when you opena door with tech ability, or when you connect to access point? its really stupid, they cant even see you.. think about the tiger claws casino you go to for wakako gig.. soon as you open some doors or you use access point they all panic and run out or start yelling at you, even though you havent been seen or detected

I know what you mean... even funnier is that the guards don't even care about the panic...
There are already mods for that, as someone else noted too:

I did tried this with Realistic Crowd Density mod and Night City Alive, and still getting those crazy drivers destroying everything when there's gang fight or big crash in traffic. Is it possible to address this also ?

I haven't found an easy way to do that. All I know is that it's not related to driving (vehicles). If a gang is tailing you or another gang, then NPCs tend to turn hostile and/or freak out around them. NCPD can also turn hostile towards you for no reason. It has been like that even before the gang retaliations. After patch 2.1 it became hell'a annoying.
