How do I open CET overlay? I forget my keybind... In Windows file explorer (assuming Windows), browse to your Cyberpunk 2077 install folder then to the [bin>x64>plugins>cyber_engine_tweaks] folder and open "Bindings.json" with Notepad (or alternative text editor)... Find the entry labeled ""cet" (likely near the end of the file) and change the value of it's "overlay_key" to 0 (zero), then save and close the file... Launch the game and CET should prompt you to set an overlay keybind again...
How do I set a keybind for the compass? Open CET overlay with the keybind (see above if you don't know your keybind), then in the main CET window at the top of your screen, click the "Bindings" button... Find the keybind in the list labeled "Compass Overlay" and click the box to the right, then press a key to set the bind... Click the save button at the bottom, then close the "Bindings" window... Now you should be able to open the compass with the keybind you just set (note that it is not visible in most game menus)...
How do I move the compass text? Open the compass window without CET overlay being open (by using your keybind for this mod), then open CET overlay... Click on the compass text and drag it around... Note that you have to be in game to see the compass text... It will not display in most menus...
I can't see my compass text when I press the keybind... Why? First, make sure you're not in a game menu... If not, then maybe you accidentally pressed the swap alignment button and moved the text off-screen... Try pressing the button again (in the config window in CET overlay)... If that doesn't work, try deleting the "layout.ini" file from the same folder I directed you to in the answer to the first question...
This is DOPE, dude! Thanks for the mod, man. Great job! I've got it small and tucked away in the top right by my mini-map. Even got REALLY close color with: Red: .3 Green: .7 Blue: .8 Alpha: 1
Put the Keybinding on my "Toggle Scanner" button, so it's showin' up only with scanner! One problem though, is it doesn't recognize any input+toggle scanner, i.e. if I'm moving forward when I use the scanner the mod stays on, because I pressed "w+capslock" I have to stand still and purely press the key input to get them to work in tandem. Is there any way to accommodate for input movements while pressing the hotkey?
You mean how do you move it around? Open it first with the keybind you set (while in-game, not in a menu of any kind), then open CET overlay with it's keybind... Then click on the compass text and drag it around wherever you want :)
That's odd, I don't get any performance drop... I guess maybe you could if you're CPU-limited, though... I'll try to make a version that only updates the value every half second or so instead of every frame and see if that helps... Should be uploaded within an hour, assuming I can get the delay to work properly...lol Edit: Got it done... Took a little longer than I thought it would because I decided to add a drop-down menu to let you set the interval time... You can select 0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, or 1.0... This is in seconds (real-time), so 0.1 is 1/10 of a second, 0.5 is half a second, and 1.0 is a full second...
I see... I ws using that, but for some reason I was getting a big white circle compass face as well as the minimap. It would often pop up at inappropiate times, or not disappear when I wasn't driving.
Which of your mods will give _only_ the compass pointer[s] on the minimap? That's all I want or need.

Yeah, I can change that so it'll work while pressing other keys (I believe anyway)... I'll get it uploaded as soon as I can...
Edit: Updated :)
Edit 2: Realized you said you had it positioned on the right side of your screen... So I made a button to swap text alignment :)
@gasherman It's as easy as Opening CET Overlay and click and dragging the Compass to wherever you want!
