This should be an essential mod. The game needed this so bad. Appreciate the effort

Been hoping to find a solution for this dark blotchy artifact appearing under transparent skirts that the Us Cracks wear :

    Going with Uscracks for example.

Their transparent skirts are expectedly transparent from across the room, but if i move up close to
the npc instead of being able to see through the skirt, a dark blotch
    appears under the garment instead.

and I've been able to isolate the effect to only happening while RT and by extension while PT is on.
It wasn't fixed by the addition of this mod, or while using Cyberpunk Ultra Plus.

This change is included in Cyberpunk Ultra Plus Better Path Tracing and Stutter Hotfix, if so if anyone uses that, this mod won't change anything

Does this do the same thing as Blur Begone ?

    If no, are they compatible?

No, this mod changes the white appearance of the glasses, making them less white in certain light conditions, Blur Begone works with translucency, making them more transparent. And yes, they are fully compatible!

After testing it with and without this mod, it's pretty clear that the "milky glass" effect was intentional.
I genuinely think CDPR made these glass panels bit muddy on purpose and for a good reason.

Without it, reflections become basically mirrors and is visually confusing. It's like you're walking on glass floor and there is a room below.

Nevertheless, thank you for making these mods. You guys keeping the game alive!

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. It looks good with car glass, but glass panels at Afterlife are confusing and mirror-like reflections are sometimes bugged.

Maybe it would make sense to create a version of this mod that reduces the "milky glass" effect compared to vanilla without removing it completely?

Just change the value in the .ini to something like 0.1 or 0.2 (0.9 is default) for a more balanced result. I've been using 0.1 for 2 years now and got used to how it looks including the negative side effects. (Overall it's a massive improvement imo)

Sure, probably gonna try something around 0.4 or even 0.5 and see how it looks.

      Thank you kindly...

This mod tries to minimize the effect in a simple way, it may appear that all the glass is clean, that's actually a good thing, at least for a hygienic "bar" like Afterlife! Jokes aside, the reflections look like this because there is no "roughness" in most mirror-like glasses. Games like the new Alan Wake have additional work on glass textures, but CP77 didn't, who knows, it could be a job for texture modders, as I have no idea if it's possible.

Does it also improve the effect if I don't use RT and PT? Or is it doing nothing without the settings turned on?.

The mod is aimed at PT and RT, without RT you don't have this problem with transparencies.
