About this mod

Since 2.0, disassembling a modded weapon only gives you crafting parts for the cost of the weapon, and does not give you back the mods, as if the mod disappeared into the void...
No more! Now you get weapon mods back on disassembling, as if you had the former perk "Waste not, Want not".

I will not support this, and you should use Unlock Me The Mods instead. It does what this mod does, simpler and better in 99.999% of cases.

I'm leaving this up for the few cases when the use of this mod would be preferable:
  • If you don't want to use RED4ext or  TweakXL. (but why wouldn't you ???)
  • If you have another mod that replaces RPGManager.CanPartBeUnequipped for some reason. (You could see if that's the case in your redscript logs)(But honestly if that's the case, you probably need only one of those)(Also, if the dev of Unlock Me The Mods reads this: You could easily wrap it instead of replacing it to solve that potential issue)

Only works with weapon mods! (I'm not even sure if clothes can have mods anymore)
Works with both Mods and Attachments! (those are the same internally)
Only works on 2.0+. (Tested on 2.0.2)
Needs RedScript!

Yes, this kinda is cheating and may have consequences on the overall money and difficulty balances of the game. If you don't care and just want more weapon mods, this is for you.
That said, I'm considering making a less cheaty version that disassembles the mods (giving you a few additional crafting parts, as if you had disassembled the mod manually from the inventory) I tried, but couldn't make it work well. If people REALLY nag me I'd give it a try again, but I'm sure it would be very easy for people more experienced at modding this game.

Install instructions:
Just extract the archive in your game folder.

Known issue:
Multiple notifications may appear when gaining a mod. Or they may not. It's a base game issue apparently, and I couldn't fix it despite trying.

This is my first redscript mod, but I don't think this could cause any issues, and in theory should be compatible with anything because redscript if quite cool.
In any case, hit me up if you notice any issue. Reproduction steps, mod lists and/or savefiles appreciated.
