-Adds the Bagram City-State to replace Kabul.
-Ahmad Shah Durrani Trait/Equal of Kisra: Conquering a city grants an Envoy and 100 Gold and Faith (on standard speed). +1 Gold and Faith for every sent Envoy. +1% Envoy token points per turn for every military unit. Levied units gain +4 Combat Strength and gain Gold and Faith equal to 50% of a defeated enemy unit's Combat Strength.
-Ahmad Shah Durrani Agenda/Durrani Empire: Aggressive. Likes civilizations that are far away and that do not compete for city-states. Dislikes civilizations that are nearby and that compete for city-states.
-Afghanistan Trait/Graveyard of Empires: Units within 2 tiles of home territory lower -4 Combat Strength from adjacent enemies.
-Afghanistan Unit/Jezailman: Replaces the Line Infantry. Does not cost maintenance or resources. +4 Combat Strength if adjacent to a Ranged or Siege class unit.
-Afghanistan Improvement/Shah's Mosque: +1 Great Engineer and Great Prophet points per turn. Minor Production and Faith adjacency from districts, increasing to standard adjacency with Divine Right. Additional Tourism at Flight. A city can only have one Shah's Mosque. Cannot be built adjacent to another Shah's Mosque.
-Bagram/Militaristic City-State: Suzerain's units gain double experience after initiating an attack.
-Afghanistan uses Arabic, Farsi/Dari, and Urdu/Hindavi names (cities, geographic landmarks, citizens).
-Afghanistan has an alternate name available in the menu: Kabulistan, Herat, Kandahar, Taymanids, Hotakids, Abdalids, Durranids, Sadozaiyids, Brakazaiyids, and Saqqawistids.
-TSL support for Firaxis Standard Earth, Firaxis Huge Earth, Firaxis East Asia, YnAMP: Giant Earth, YnAMP: Greatest Earth Map, YnAMP: Large Europe, and YnAEMP: Play Europe Again.
