About this mod

A ReShade preset that aims to make Borderlands 2 look more modern without overdoing it.

Permissions and credits
This Preset makes use of:

-Marty's Ray Traced GI shader (RTGI). It's not free yet as it's still in development. (It is not required for this preset. It's rather a nice touch on top)
 If you're interested and have 5$ to spare you can support him on Patreon to get access to his shader. (https://www.patreon.com/mcflypg)

-Depth based, brightness and contrast. Makes the sky look darker at night or make fog less bright at a distance. Your near surroundings are not affected by this. (If you encounter a specific area where it looks too dark or just bad, make use of a hotkey configureable in the overlay! You just need to rightclick a shader.)

-Some light bloom. I bound this to B in case it is too strong for your liking as it can be a bit more intense in some areas.

-Deblur, CAS sharpening filter and SMAA to make the game look sharper and less aliased.

-Some color correction stuff.

FPS cost will be low except for RTGI. It costs me about 15% fps (~30% for v0.16 and up).

Install ReShade:
Download it here: ReShade 4.7.0 or ReShade 4.9.1 OR ReShade 4.9.1 with network check removed which could be necessary to use RTGI in coop.
Double click, browse for Borderlands2.exe in ***\Borderlands 2\Binaries\Win32 and select it
Select Direct3D 9

A window with a list of repositories will pop up. Tick the following:
SweetFX
Color Effects by prod80
Pirate shaders
qUINT

Just click next until it tells you the setup was successful.
You can close the window now.

Next, drop my presets and "reshade-shaders" into ***\Borderlands 2\Binaries\Win32
Overwrite all.
The Night Preset has the depth based brightness enabled. It is bound to tab since it darkens the inventory as it uses the inventory's depth instead of the world's. Can be used to make distant fog appear less strong.

You can start the game now.
ReShade will display a message on how to open the overlay.
In the overlay, select my preset by clicking on "default Preset" and choosing whichever you downloaded.
Next click on "edit preprocessor definitions" on the main page between the Shaders and their settings and check the settings there.
They should look like this:

RESHADE_DEPTH_LINEARIZATION_FAR_PLANE=1000.0
RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_UPSIDE_DOWN=0
RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_REVERSED=0
RESHADE_DEPTH_INPUT_IS_LOGARITHMIC=0

All hotkeys I set can be seen and changed in the overlay. I recommend keeping the one for "ContrastBrightnessSaturation" though.
If you don't open your inventory with tab, change it accordingly.

And that should be it. If you're having issues getting this to run, don't hesitate to ask for help in the posts. :)
I don't take credit for deblur and CAS, I just included them for simplicity's sake. If this isn't okay with the creators of those I'll remove them.
