A spell mod that allows you to call down punishments from the heavens in order to cleanse your foes.

The main function of this spell is to call down orbital laser-like attacks. There are four main ways to do this.

  • Throw: Throwing this spell shoots out a slow-moving projectile that activates when the trigger is pressed or if it hits something. Upon activation, it calls down a large beam of light that cleanses all organic material in the area it hits.
  • Cleanse Grab: Similar to the lightning spell, if an enemy is grabbed and the trigger is pressed it freezes the target and calls down a smaller beam of light onto them.
  • Cleanse Punch: Making a fist and punching an enemy will send them flying and then strike them with a beam of light.
  • Merge: Merge the spell as usual and activate it by raising both palms towards the sky. This triggers a custom effect, causing any enemy within a certain radius to be struck by a beam of light.
  • Imbue: The imbue has different functions based on what damager affects the enemy. If the enemy is hit by a sharp imbued attack (stab or slash) they will undergo similar effects to a cleanse grab. If an enemy is hit by a blunt imbued attack they will undergo effects similar to a cleanse punch.
  • Staff Imbue: When a staff is imbued there are two separate abilities like all other imbues. Slamming the staff will push enemies away like the gravity staff but will also cleanse them after a delay. Hold the alt use button to select and highlight an enemy with particle effects, then release it to cleanse that enemy.
Additional Notes:
  • When executing a cleanse punch or using a blunt imbue, prioritize the angle of your punch over the speed, as long as it meets the minimum speed required to execute the hit.                        
  • A force modifier of 10 maximizes horizontal distance for the blunt imbue or punches, while a value between 1-3 maximizes vertical height.          
  • On a previous versions the npcs from the npc spawner spell sometimes caused crashes when abilities were used on them. If you are encountering issues with them either use the vanilla spawned enemies from dungeons and arenas or the enemies from the snap mod by Jenix which I've been using for all of my testing for this mod.                                                                                                                   
  • The beam's height isn't infinite and you might occasionally notice its top or bottom. This is intentional, making the particles high enough so it couldn't be noticed will delay the impact making it much harder to use.                 
  • When stabbing with an imbued weapon you may have to stab faster then you normally would need to penetrate the skin for the beam to activate. This is a base game speed requirement with imbues so I can't include any mod options to change it.   
  • Currently the imbue visuals only has a shader and no particles. This is because I couldn't figure out how to get them to spread across the blade and couldn't get any help to do so. I decided to upload it anyway since I have already taken enough time to release the update and didn't want to delay it anymore.                
  • When a weapon with an imbue is inside an enemy during a despawn the imbue visuals will disappear while the imbue functions won't. This is a base game issue and not due to my mod. This should be fixed if the imbue is cleanse and the despawn is due to a cleanse beam. Please report any reproducible situations where this fix doesn't work or instead the imbue visuals stays but the functions don't.
