Modern Firearm Waves
True tactical shooter gameplay for Blade and Sorcery
Available for U12.3

Utilizing Fisher's Elemental Firearm Framework and Ghetto's Tactical Clothing, modern enemies who can engage in a firefight with you are now a real thing in Blade and Sorcery! This mod adds new waves of trained soldiers of fortune ready to fill you with lead. Compliment with your firearm mod of choice for a fast-paced, tactical, and brutal firefight simulator. But, as with most things, a brief clip sells the idea best:

Differences Between Versions

Modern Firearm Waves comes in two versions, Lite and Full. Lite has minimal requirements and is the bare minimum needed for modern enemies. The full version comes with combination melee/firearm waves, enemies that drop grenades and flashbangs, and more! Keep an eye out for the full release soon!

Lite Version Requirements
Fisher's Elemental Firearm Framework
Ghetto05's Tactical Clothing

Installation
1) Install both of the required mods and any dependencies they may have. Test that everything works as intended before trying my mod.
2) Install this mod as you would any other Blade and Sorcery mod. If you don't know how to do this I don't know how you got here lol
3) You can find my waves near the top of the spawn book!

Recommended Mods
Ghetto's Firearms - You'll probably want this instead of the pistols the NPCs use.
vyvince1997 - Also great firearm mods
Realistic Blood
Head Breaker
John Wick Armor

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why Fisher's Simple Firearm Framework?
A: As of right now, Fisher's is the only gun mod that adds firearms that NPCs can utilize. If alternative mods come out with this functionality, I will consider switching or releasing a separate patch.

Q: Can you add x weapon/armor?
A: I haven't made anything but json files for Blade and Sorcery, so asking me to create anything from scratch is probably a no-go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If it comes from an existing mod, I will take a look at it.

Q: Why are all of the tactical NPCs male?
A: Ghetto's tactical clothes only display on male bodies.

Future Plans
As I alluded to earlier, this mod mod as it stands exists as a proof of concept for how Blade and Sorcery might work as a tactical/aggressive shooter. While it's obvious that there's things to smooth out, it's surprisingly fun and fresh to play Blade and Sorcery like this. Up until a week ago I had never made a Blade and Sorcery mod. As such, I've decided to release the "prototype" I hashed out in a night to see how the community responds. As I take in feedback, I will start chipping away at the following ideas:
  • More wave variety, including:
- Modern melee weapon waves (Machetes, tactical axes, combat knives, etc.)
- Dual-wielding pistol waves
- Enemies with melee weapons in their right hands and pistols in their left (the gun equivalent of a spellsword?)
- More camo variants
- Enemies carrying grenades and other tactical goodies as loot
  • Custom Voices
  • An optional replacer for Dungeons
  • A patch for the excellent Valthume Towers Use Dungeon Replacer addon, replaces all non-handplaced enemies
  • Support for mods utilizing the revolutionary Quest Framework
  • Eventually, once all of this is said and done and I've gained more experience with Blade and Sorcery as a game, I would like to start making custom missions in the same vein as Half Life: Alyx's Gunman Contracts. These will take great inspiration from the Valthume Towers mod and aim to be very free-form tactical missions. Don't expect these for a while, but this is my ultimate goal for this mod.

Big shoutouts to both Ghetto05 and Fisher for their excellent work for the Blade and Sorcery community! This wouldn't be possible without them.
