This mod provides a streamlined linear adventure experience based on levels from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.

Levels feature lever triggered/pre-spawned enemy encounters, working sliding doors with levers, and the ability to have your inventory and weapons carry over between levels. Most of the larger levels are also built as "hybrid" levels. This means you can go through the level's linear experience, and if you wish to stick around and fight more enemies, you can spawn them from the books found on various free standing blue consoles throughout the level.

Transitioning between levels occurs by using levers at the end of each level to load into the next. Take a look at the video in this link if you are having issues progressing to the next level. https://www.reddit.com/r/BladeAndSorcery/comments/zrucms/mod_preview_sorcerers_of_the_old_republic/

Please read the mod requirements as there are a handful of other mods you will need to download in order for this mod to function.

When you first launch the main game, it could take a few minutes to load into the Character Selection screen, often getting “stuck” at 77%, but please be patient as it will load.

I would highly recommend starting this mod with a fresh save file. For whatever reason, if you encounter bugs after you have removed this mod, remember to delete your save file, as that can usually resolve the issue.

Levels currently included in part 1 of this mod:

Endar Spire
Taris Apartment Hideout
Taris Upper City Cantina
Taris Dueling Arena
Taris Swoop Platform
Taris Sith Base
Davik’s Estate
Dantooine Jedi Enclave
Dantooine Crystal Cave
Yavin Station

Level Progression Explanation (Spoilers)

Spoiler:
Show
You will progress from the Endar Spire to the Taris Apartment Hideout to the first version of the Taris Upper City Cantina. You can backtrack between the hideout and the cantina until you initiate the first duel (lever on the console near the Hutt). You will be brought to the Taris Dueling Arena. Upon completing the duel challenge, you will be brought back to the Upper City Cantina and then can exit the cantina to go save Bastila on the Swoop Platform. Use the lever at the end of the Swoop Platform to return to your hideout once you have rescued Bastila and killed the Vulkar Gang members. You will then be brought back to your hideout with Bastila and can go back to the cantina to face Bendak Starkiller in a duel to the death. When you load back into this 3rd version of the Cantina, you can again load between the Cantina and your hideout until you initiate the duel with Bendak and are transported to the dueling Arena for the final time. Upon completing the duel you will be brought back to the Cantina and finally have enough credits and credibility to “purchase” T3 and steal the Taris launch codes from the Sith Base. T3 will appear near the exit of the Taris Upper City Cantina as a signal that you will load into the Sith Base as the next level. Once you steal the codes from the Sith Base (which is activated via a lever, which will make the level end lever appear where you started), you will be brought to Davik’s Estate, where you will need to steal the Ebon Hawk to escape the planet. Once you escape Taris, you will be loaded into the Ebon Hawk (the level that is part of the Outer Rim mod), and from there you can travel to Yavin Station or the Datooine Jedi Enclave/Crystal Caves.

Part 2

The scope of this mod is still being defined as I determine what is and is not possible with the current SDK, but I do plan to create the full StarForge map and have already started work on it. I have most of the Taris Upper City already built, but have been encountering serious lighting bugs with that particular level, so I had to make a sacrifice and cut it from Part 1 until I can correct the issue. Part 2 will most likely be released some time after U12 is released.

Please let me know if you have any questions or encounter any bugs and may the force be with you!

Known issues:

-A handful of meshes clip or a slightly off place on the Endar Spire and Davik’s estate.

-Occasionally, the level progression levers will not load the next level, and just leave you on a black screen with the music still playing. You can still walk around the level, and oftentimes taking a few steps back and forward again allows the zone to trigger the level progression.

-NPCs on the Taris Sith Base level take a few seconds to load their custom character meshes (this is an issue with the Custom Avatar Framework/Avatars, not this mod), I have done my best to hide their loading textures where I can.

-Friendly teammate AI can be a little wonky. For example, NPCs like the Endar Spire jedi will still try to attack a dead enemy NPC if there is no one else near to battle.
