Lore and Setting

Absolver is a game produced by Sloclap and published by Devolver Digital. It focuses on hand-to-hand combat, learning new fighting styles, and becoming a fluent and experienced fighter.

In the world of Absolver, you start off as a Prospect: an individual chosen to undergo a journey across the lands to learn all there is to know about combat. Tasked with the goal of becoming an Absolver, you are given a mask. You no longer eat, sleep, or need to replenish your energy in any way. You exist for one purpose now: to fight

As a mask is now a part of you, many prospects style themselves around their mask. They come in large quantities, and in many varieties. It's your choice what you wear to signify who you are

Within this mod, there are a total of 61 wearable masks, all of which offer protection from attacks. These range from simple wooden masks to elaborate magical artifacts. My original ambition for the mod was to include enemies, bosses, particle effects, etc. However, due to getting burnt out and wanting to focus on other mods, this mod only includes the masks, wearable for male players. Yet I can see myself coming back to work on the mod if it gets popular enough.

There is an additional file included in the mod that adjusts punches in the game. The method for calculating damage has been adjusted, and punches should now do more realistic damage and won't send enemies flying (unless you intend to). You should now be able to pull off melee combos without the enemy just falling over.

Additional Info

Currently, the masks are only wearable by male characters (and male NPCs if you so choose). However, I eventually plan to come back and add the masks to female characters as well, once I figure out how to do so.

Be sure to check out my other big mods, like the Hedge Knight Armor Set or Beginner's Arsenal. I am still hard at work making mods, and I'm currently working on a leather/rogue armor set.

You can see the progress I make on my mods in my modding server EmClear's Arsenal.

That's all. Enjoy!
