Updated to work with 8.4 Beta 8 (completely remade the mod from scratch with the new default files from the update)
Leather Armor is inferior to thrusts and dedicated cuts but protects against draw cuts
Increased the Damage modifier for all armor times for piercing damage (except arrows). If it penetrates it does damage (and a thrust to the torso will most likely be enough for an instant kill)
Allowed knockdowns for all armor types. Plate armor however will only allow knockdown by heavy blunt, not light blunt (to avoid knocking them down with your sword hilt)

Increased minimum velocity to pierce maille (chainmail) a bit. Now it requires some force to thrust through it with thrusting weapons that are able to pierce maille (like spears, rapiers, rondel daggers)
Also tweaked the piercing of wood. Now you're actually able to ram your dagger into the wooden table again without imbuing it. Also arrows and spears might get stuck in wood again. Don't know why they made that so hard in U8...

Pierce Damage Multiplier now reduced to 2.5 for all armor materials. Piercing limbs now won't be an instant kill, piercing the upper body will.
Also added the Multiplier 2.5 for plate armor. It's not allowed to be pierced, but it seems if you hit their face, that's being protected by a plate helmet, the multiplier applied, so here it is... 2.5... Piercing their face will kill them.
Reduced the minimum velocity to pierce maille. Dedicated Thrusting weapons like the spear and rapiers can pierce maille now. Normal swords still can't (and that's intended).

First Version. Leather armor is inferior to piercing damage and axes and less effective against slashes. Pierce Damage Multiplier is now 5 for any armor, so a successful pierce will kill instantly.
