How to use this mod
There are now two method of installing, manual or using modtek.
Manual Installs
Weapon+ only
Just copy the mods folder to
\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets
Then copy the VersionManifest.csv from Weapon+ folder to
\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data
Then copy the MetadataDatabase.db from Weapon+ folder to
\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\MDD
That's it, you are done start your game and enjoy the extra weapons and balancing.
weapon+ & JK's Variants

Ver 1.03
Copy these folders (assuming you have already placed the weapon+ mods folder in the game directory)
JK_Variants
JK_WeaponAmmo
And paste them in mods
\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\mods
Then copy the VersionManifest.csv from weapon+ & JK folder to
\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data
Then copy the MetadataDatabase.db from weapon+ & JK folder to
\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\MDD
You should now be able to access the weapons and JK's variants.
Modtek Installs
Setup up modtek

Once you have completed this process you should now have a mod folder in the
BATTLETECH Folder.
In this mod folder add the weapons+ folder from my mod.
Then copy the MetadataDatabase.db from Weapon+ folder to
\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\MDD
(If you want just the missions and weapons etc you are done, )
You are ready to start the game and play
Adding JK Variants
Download JK's Variants from
https://www.nexusmods.com/battletech/mods/18
Add the two of the 3 folders to the Mod folder
JK_Variants
JK_WeaponAmmo
Go to the weapon+ download and take the mod.json from each of the folders named.
JK_Variants Mod.json
JK_WeaponAmmo Mod.json
And place them in the correct folders from JK's Mod
So Now in
\BATTLETECH\Mods
You should have the following 3 folders
JK_Variants
JK_WeaponAmmo
weapons+
And each of these should contain a mod.json
Then copy the MetadataDatabase.db from weapon+ & JK folder to
\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\MDD
You are ready to start the game and play
To uninstall
Manual install only
Then copy the VersionManifest.csv from Uninstall folder to
\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\data
Both Versions
Then copy the MetadataDatabase.db from Uninstall folder to
\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\BATTLETECH\BattleTech_Data\StreamingAssets\MDD
That is all.
What does this mod (weapon+) add to the game.
I have reworked the base damage of all weapons to match the defaults for the era.

Also reduced the stability damage of weapons to make that less common, but there are still weapons with huge stability damage if that suits your play style.
Clan weapons
I have reworked the base damage of all weapons to match the defaults for the era Based on clans weapons because a lot of these weapons did not exist for anybody else.

Made stability damage a specific +, ++, +++, ++++ weapon trait.
Made all added weapons available in the shops where you could find the + variants. Streaks will show in normal stores, but so rarely.
Weapons and Stores
All the added weapons have been removed from the stores if they did not exist for IS. You will now only find the added weapons in stores that can be RP'ed into the game.
They have been smuggled out of clan possession to be sold on the open market by pirates.
These weapons will only be found on worlds that are Independent faction with pirate presence.
Streak missiles are prototype stolen tech, they can only be found on 1 world, again pirate presence and black market, Taurian space.
New Missions & Gauss Rifle
Added in several variations of a mission (assassination) that will pit you against a Highlander 732 complete with Gauss Rifle, these missions will only spawn on worlds that are abandoned.
Be warned the mission with the highlander is random. It may not even be in the mission. I found it is roughly 4 out of 10 times personally, you might get lucky.
I wanted to give people the option to use the Gauss, but giving it to you in a store, nah!. You will have to fight for and earn that bad boy, enjoy.
Ammo if required available on Black market worlds.
