    Anything, anything to make bta3062 FASTER! I can play regular Battletech at 92 FPS or higher no problem, in fact have to use V-sync. Then I switch on [install] BTA3062 and I have barely 35 FPS most the time. IT's a great mod, but darn. I removed BTADebug and will test with this mod enabled.

    Probably best to look through all 130 ".Jsons" and find 'debug'.

      That's exactly right, turning off the debug logging is the best gains you'll get.

    I am very interested in this setting:
    "AnalyticsAPI - Disables HBS Analytics Data Collection"

    can you elaborate more on a way you've done it? did you disable entire mechanism or only blocked it from sending data to HBS/make it send empty data?
    where is file responsible for analytics located?

      My primary job is in Cyber Security. They were collecting things like hardware used, software installed, windows versions, patches applied, IP Address, Location, etc. The game stopped getting updates years ago but they kept collecting the information.

      C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Harebrained Schemes\BATTLETECH\Unity\<SOMENUMEBRS>\Analytics

      It's somewhere in there, but I've been running this for years disabled so I don't remember off the top of my head.

    Under the description for this mod, you say that this includes the Contract Lag fix from BattleTech Performance Fix. Does this mean that if I install this mod, I don't have to do what I saw someone in the comments for BattleTech Performance Fix recommended, and set "ContractLagFix" to false in the Settings.json file for BT Performance Fix?

      I haven't done extensive testing, nor have I encountered the bug they are discussing. I would look to the new BTPF as that feature from this mod will be removed soon.

    I am a bit confused but is this mod including Crystal Clear settings or are those Vanilla? Maybe a full merge of crystal clear is in order? please make this crystal clear! haha. Just to clarify do you still leave BTPF installed to get the full benefit?

    Thanks for removing the annoying DLC Banner

    Also, your mod version does not reflect the correct version.

      Grunge = "OFF"
      Scanlines = "OFF"
      Dithering = "OFF"

      These are base game post processing.

      Crystal Clear will remove everything including weather but doesn't honor the settings correctly last I spoke with the author about. He might have updated it since then.

      Also fixed Modversion. :)

    Finally someone is focusing on performance improvements!!! Please please please keep up the good work on performance. How I wish this game can run smoothly and with quick load times with BTA3062... Only thing stopping me from enjoying these overhaul mods, the constant stutters, FPS dips and long load times.

      I would donate this dev money if I had any man.
      I might send them my kidney instead though.

      If it loads great on stock but doesn't with a mod, you know where to seek help.

      The goal of the better series is to improve the game without losing performance.

      Just a hint but try removing BTADebug, as I recall this switches all the logging in the game to debug mode and search for any mod.json that still has debug=true enabled, or debuglog, or log level set to debug. This is just killer for the game.

      Thanks for the tip, I removed BTADebug from the BTA3062 installation. But BTA3062 has about 130 mods, I can't check every mod.json to see if the debug flag is true... Is there a quick way to check this?

      Every mod author uses a different flag so not really.

      No problem. Out of curiosity, do you think you will be releasing more updates for this mod with potentially more performance improvements?

      There isn't much more that can be done or is outside my skill level. The base game runs amazing now. If a modpak isn't performing well the authors will need to fix that.

      I installed XAI BattleTech 3025 and I feel like the Turn delay in this mod isn't working? Also, the below settings are confusing:
      "AnalyticsAPI" : true,
              "DLCBanner" : true,
              "ContractLagFix" : true

      Should they all be set to "true" to:
      - Disable analytics
      - Disable banners
      - Remove the lag from the contract screen?

      Ya. Next version will make those say Disable.

      I wrote the core file for XAI so no need for this mods turn delay. It’s built in there.

    Tested and working with super smooth performance.

    Any plan to allow tweaks to Settings in mod.json ?

      Thanks for the super fast response!

      Btw, anyway to check if the AnalyticsAPI is indeed off?

      The settings sound a bit backwards. It should be DisableAPI = true, and DisableDLC = true if you want it off. I'll add Disabled to the settings on the next release.
