This mod is designed to make the 'Thumper Artillery Cannon' found exclusively on the BULL SHARK MAZ more powerful, while also taking up only 1 Inventory Slot so that all Hardpoints can be used.
Additionally, the BULL SHARK has been upgraded to 100T, given 4 Jump Jet Hardpoints and a bit more free base Tonnage, plus a higher top speed (about the speed of a Heavy Mech),
so that the Thumper becomes reasonably useful (due to it having a ridiculously short range).
If you want to fine-tune my mod to your tastes, you can edit the damage output of the Thumper in the "Weapon_Mortar_Thumper.json" file;
using a value of 150 for example should insta-kill EVERYthing within the AoE, even Assault Mechs and 100T Vehicles.
Be careful however: setting the damage value this high will not just insta-kill the OpFor, it will OBLITERATE(!) them, thus destroying nearly everything they have equipped, leaving little to no salvage!
You should also keep in mind that the Thumper damage is calculated PER LOCATION(!) on any enemy units within the AoE; simply put this means that the more locations an enemy unit has,
the higher the total damage output will be, thus 'Mechs will be affected far more than Turrets or Vehicles.
You can likewise fine-tune the top speed and tonnage stuff for the Mech itself in the "chassisdef_bullshark_BSK-MAZ.json" file.
This mod is fully compatible with BEX (tested it myself) and should also be compatible with BTA and Rogue, so long as no other mod changes the same four files included in this mod.
If that should be the case and you'd want to keep my settings, simply put my mod lower in the load order of ModTek so it overwrites whichever other mod might conflict with it.
This is actually my very fist mod I've ever uploaded to the Nexus, so I hope you guys will enjoy it and have as much fun as I do when THUMPING! the OpFor into Oblivion! o/
REQUIREMENTS:
My mod requires both the Heavy Metal DLC for the base game, as well as ModTek!
Tested with BEX + all DLCs + ModTek 0.8.0
