Guys, it says Ferro-Fibrous Armor provides 12% more armor per ton, I dont see any of my armor points going higher though T_T Did I install it incorrectly?

Works fine with the GoG version too. Just get the Custom Localization mod ( https://github.com/BattletechModders/CustomLocalization) as well and you won't have to edit the names etc.
But i wish there was a way to buy it in bundles instead of piece by piece.

This works fine with the latest version of BT, with all DLC's... and using BT Extended 3025 CE. I did need to edit the names and description as stated in a couple of the other comments. As far as needing to edit or merge the CSV file that is mentioned below and in the readme file included in the download, I did not have to do that at all. This mod works fine as is.

Added the Custom Localization mod along with it and it's displaying normally, but for some reason the tonnage restrictions for the Endo and Ferro-Fibrous variations are not working as they can all be applied to the same Mech regardless of tonnage type. Not sure if it's cause both tonnage items are not classified as Jumpjets as they seem to be the only equipment that works for that.

Can someone give an example of how to fix the item name and description in game? I understand that you have to mess with the .json file but I don't know what's what in there and what I'm supposed to change.

Edit: Nevermind, I was just looking at the wrong files and was seeing completely different things

In order to to fix their in game stuff you have to go into the "upgrades" folder of the mod and change the individual JSON files of each Endo Steel and Ferro Fibrous component. The things you have to edit are the Name, UIName, and Details section. You can find the appropriate name and details for each one inside the Localization folder's JSON file. It took about 5 minutes for me to copy paste the Name, UIName, and description into the appropriate components.

Quite cool that it extends Endosteel Mod, but the translation seems to be broken.
It either misses part of the configuration for the localization in the mod.json or it lacks the .dll that should handle this. An update on that would be awesome but it is not breaking the mod so far.
The idea to make it multilanguage capable is really great not seen this on any other mod.

Forget it, reading the full info helps a lot more.

By chance could you include the previous version of the mod file to the download section? The current version (as of 02/28/2020) on my English client will not display a clean Item header and mouseover text when viewing the Endosteel and Ferro Fibrous in the store, yet the previous English file download worked perfectly.

You can just go into the mod folder open up the gear files with notepad ++ (free) then UIName, Name, Details all have same shit. So Name is like Long Range Missile System ++, UIName is LRM++, then details is just the blurb about what the item is. ‘Introduced bla bla bla made in bla bla bla”

It honestly took me like 5 minutes to do all of them. Easier than waiting for a fix of your like me with ocd=D

Oi oi. Love this. Can’t wait to start using. Just a heads up tho... In the gear.json files

    “UIName”
    “Name”
    “Details”

All have the same line of code or whatever __/armour_upgrades etc etc

I’d assume that’s the case for all of them as I just saw two in game that were way wonky.

Just cosmetic. But it looks pretty derpy. I’m just gonna go open another mod with gear and figure out what the 3 titles are supposed to have and I’ll sort it myself.

But they’re behaving fine and UI doesn’t seem to care that text is spilling of the side of the item lol.

Wondering if this will work with BEX:CE? I understand they have builtin endo and ferro but not really anything purchasable?

You can buy the armor in every shop. Unless you use a mod that changes something in the shop, then you have to combine the itemCollection_Components_base.csv with that of the other mod.

I have not seen the items yet, I'm 200+ days in a new campaign since I updated to 1.9 and just transferred over to the ARGOS. When should I see it in the stores?

You seen always this in the store, even you start not a new game. There must be an other mod that uses the file: itemCollection_Components_base.csv. The solution: You must merge this 2 files manuell and delete one of them. Use a Text editor. Solution 2: If you find the Mod who have this file included, say it to me and i will Update a "Special Edition" which will work with this Mod.

      Greetings, KT.

this is the only other mod in my folder that has another itemCollection_Components_base.csv

      https://www.nexusmods.com/battletech/mods/486?tab=files&file_id=3855

I tried to merge yours into it then merged the mod json info into it but then the mod wouldn't load in so I just reverted back ... both mods load in fine without error for the new 1.9 update just not seeing the items in the stores tbh I don't think I see Chucks inventory in the stores either nor per his description of personalized mechs ... the Gundam mods overwrote them so I most likely don't even need to use this one or his ... so I will see if the game will load in with these disabled.

but I'm having fun with this game again so thats what matters!

Just as an FYI, ModTek supports an append for the CSV files, so you can set up your mod to only add your new items to itemCollection_Components_base.csv rather than overwriting the entire thing.
