SLIH - Weapon Tweaks is a MODTEK mod which seeks make all weapons systems viable... without adding damage. +, and ++ variants have had +Dmg removed, and replaced with other balancing stats. Some very effective weapons systems have tradeoffs for their ++ bonuses. The ++ variants shouldn't be so good they make stock weapons obsolete.

1. Stability damage has been reduced:
In general the stability damage of weapons is roughly 20% of it's Dmg. Some ++ variants increase this to 60-75% of the base dmg.

2. Heat generated has been increased:
Heat has been balanced around the Large Laser. Rather than increase LL damage, I increased the heat of most other weapons systems. In particular missiles have been adjusted to cost more heat per missile as the launchers increase in size. No longer is an LRM 20 the most heat efficient launcher. *PPC and LPL heat decreased*

3. Most +DMG mods have been removed:
In an attempt to keep Lostek relevant, I have tweaked the +, & ++ variants to generally be lower bonuses, without any raw damage increases, and in some cases penalties that go with bigger bonuses.  The idea is to have variants *specialize* your weapons, rather than be strait up better than any other weapon of its type.

4. The AC5 has had its damage reduced to 40:
Yup. 40.

5. The PPCs have had the magnitude, and duration of their accuracy penalty doubled.


Knockdowns should be much less frequent, but overheating much *more* frequent.  Those bracketed weapon groups on stock 'mechs won't look quite so out of place now.
