Where is the installation guide ? Where are all the necessary files counting BTML ? Why isn't there one or the other ? Random and outdated videos are not what will help. Waiting for detailed guidance. -_-

just wondering. Is there any reason some battles are so stacked they are unplayable sometimes? Or why defend base missions no longer have supporting forces? I enjoy a challenge but some of these missions are kind of just ridiculous. 2 skull base defense puts me up against 12 mediums or 8 med and 2 heavy. I even ran a 3 1/2 skull lance and its not that I can't beat them(my pilots pulled off some legendary shots. Just beautiful in one attempt) But I'm fighting so many enemies that I can't pull the aggro off the base. I've just noticed that alot of the skull requirements are... off. is that the core mod or an included one i can remove?

A common theme among all these big mod pack collections. When you make vast, sweeping changes to the way the game plays you also need to adjust the missions that are built for the way the game USED to be played. Mechs can shoot after they sprint now? That changes base defense missions and how quickly reinforcements can arrive and engage. Pilots get fatigued for a week after an hour in their mech? Good luck on consecutive deployments. Advanced tech added? Oh that Flea just killed a building turn one before you could even shoot at him... kiss your bonus goodbye.

Don't get me wrong, I love mod packs and the fresh feeling they give the game. I just wish both sides of game play were given equal attention.

Linerunner has hit the nail on the head.

Usually the "oo! This would be kewl!" aspect gets in a modders head, and they forget to actually do the rest of the balancing. They also forget that most of us are looking for fun and aren't masochists who enjoy restarting every time we play because all we had left after three missions was a broken down Locust... I was also watching a guy complain about a 'Memory Leak' while playing RogueTech, and thinking "ya know... if there is one in BattleTech its minor because I have not experienced it and I have 390 hours logged in game - plus I think it may not have logged when I finished my last campaign in offline mode, so maybe more than that - sooooo... maybe look at RogueTech for that bug, or making an existing one MUCH worse". From personal experience I know that its actually pretty easy to create a pretty severe memory leak... and very hard to figure out what you did to cause it.

For all the abuse HBS gets for "doing so much less than the modders", they actually have to pay attention to all these factors and more. And they have to make as many people happy as possible, because what one lore obsessed fan thinks is great, may make 200 thousand other people think "pretty... but way too complicated and not really that much fun", and frankly HBS needs those 200K people FAR more than it needs the 1 guy... unless he wants to pay $2 million for the game...

As an actual programmer, this claim that HBS could knock out the content of a DLC in a week and should only charge $2 for it makes me grind my teeth a little, I actually understand how hard what they are doing is, and if the modders were actually doing the same level of coding... well, why didn't they create a better version of the game before HBS did it? Or make a better game now... no, no, not take theirs and play with the scripts, I mean from the ground up.

This isn't meant to knock the modders, some of them do some great work... but its only intended to be what THEY find interesting and they do it for as long as they are in the mood and then move onto the next thing the second they get bored. If other people like it, great, but remember that what the modders do can dry up in a second, while HBS is committed to working on this into 2020.
I also don't think the base game is perfect, but what HBS has done IS pretty good - and while maybe under the Paradox umbrella, at least they *aren't* Paradox who release buggy crap and patch later (got burned one time too many on that and stopped buying any Paradox made game in the first year, I supported this one when it was still just HBS).

Mostly I'm criticizing those entitled a-hole gamers who don't know what they are talking about but sure love to pretend they do, and think the world should cater to THEIR specific whims like THEY are the only ones who matter. No, jack-off, you are one of many, and your opinion and desires (or mine for that matter) are no more important than anyone elses.

Hm. Didn't mean to go off on a rant there, oh well.

Is this modpack compatible with the regular campaign? I've been hopping around the starting systems in the Leopard for a few missions and the Argo quest hasn't triggered.

    EDIT: Nevermind. I'm an idiot.

I have installed mod twice, but the UI in battle is all missed up, drop ship UI overlaps mech Ui as seen in this pic https://ibb.co/GRK1mq7

Installation Notes says to install Community Assets Bundle first, and then it says to Delete the contents of your Mods folder. So do you need to delete everything mod wise that CAB just installed or not. I haven't been deleting it after CAB install, so is that the problem.

What should I do any help please.

OK so I deleted the contents of the mods folder after installing CAB, and parts of your mod do not load, thats what I thought would happen, so again whats mite be causing the UI problem, Im not running any other mods. any help please.

Update: The CAB has a BT Extended 3025 only version, so I'm downloading that and will see if that works, was using the main file.

Update: Using the other CAB did nothing UI is still the same, not sure what it is, So any help please

Update: Your patch worked for the UI its back to normal, but the betrayal in the first mission does not fire, Ive killed all enemies and I'm setting at there base and they wont talk to me.

There's no AIM folder within this mod. Is the Attack Improvement mod no longer part of this mod?

Firstly excellent job to you and all involved in the making of this mod collection.

I realize it just dropped yesterday but is there any ETA on the next build for this collection being updated for 1.6 and Urban War'? There are supposedly many bug fixes included in the new update so it would be interesting to know if it's a case of updating a few files or if it needs something akin to a full rebuild.

Either way I am looking forward to starting a new playthrough.

    Nice modcollection .-)
Your version of Skip Intro ("1.0.0") is outdated and seems to be not working. Current Version is: "1.4.0"
Your collection includes the Cameramod Free Cam. I would suggest to consider Total Camera Control as it allows to deaktivate the way to annoying Deathcam and additional things that i think are not covered by FreeCam. https://github.com/rajderks/battletech-TotalCameraControl

I knew I should've looked up the updated files first before updating the game, since I'm guessing this won't work for 1.4? JK's Variants updated on March 25th as well, so I know that part will need to be updated in this pack if it will still be included.

I was able to play with this mod until today. Now with new Battletech patch 1.4 and new version of Modtek that combines integrates BTML with Modtek, I cannot get this mod to load. Modtek loading bar gets to 100% and then says "Modtek died" and refers me to the modtek log. I believe the only mod that now works with Battletech 1.4 and Modtek 0.6.0 is Roguetech.
