Yeah just noticed this. At first I wasn't sure what was happening, I thought maybe the developers had released a new patch that changed things. However, its now clear that its this mod - it will show stars after trying out a recruit, but once you save/load your save file, that goes away. Really too bad recommend you use the Tryout Talents Alternative mod until this one gets sorted out.
Hi there. I just went through all three files of both the normal and the 2x versions of your mod in order to find out how you changed the cost. However, there seems to be no difference whatsoever between the files, so now I'm a bit confused. How do you change the cost???
Me too. Love the mod. Been using it for ages. Hope you find time to fix up. Thank you. Edit: It works fine for me now. Not sure why I had a problem. Please disregard.
Sadly the latest version does not work for me. When I try out, it only displays the traits and when I leave the recruit screen and try to re-enter it, the window just vanishes and I have to press Esc to return to the town screen.

In vanilla, it's 10% (well, technically it's 10% + 25 gold, or hiring fee minus 25 gold, if cheaper).
