1: At the bottom of the description page, before DSR, you mention to enable these files Mode1.fx(FineSharp) Mode2.fx(FineSharp) Mode3.fx(FineSharp) in the ReShade menu. But none of the files are a part of your mod. How do I enable those 3 files?
2: How do I know if the console.txt file is working? I've created both the CONSOLE.txt and BmInput.ini in the correct locations but when I hit the F11 Key (Remapped it from F12) I notice no change. Is this file autoloaded?
1. These files come with the ReShade Installer, but if you don't selected them in installation process you can find these Shaders here -> https://github.com/crosire/reshade-shaders/tree/master/Shaders
2. You will see post-processing removal. 2.1 Enabled Post-Process
2.2 After pressing "F12" from Console code
Create CONSOLE.txt in this path -> Batman Arkham Knight\Binaries paste this code in CONSOLE.txt:
set Engine.PostProcessEffect bUseWorldSettings false | Set Materialeffect bShowInGame false | set PostProcessVolume bEnabled false | set Engine.PostProcessEffect bShowInGame true | set Engine.PostProcessEffect bAffectsLightingOnly false turn off DOF: set BmGame.R3rdPersonCamera Debug_TurnOffZoomDof 1
This is how your CONSOLE.txt should look:
Create BmInput.ini in this path -> Batman Arkham Knight\DLC\356474\Content\BmGame\Config and paste this code:
Thanks for the file link; Ironically I prefer the game without the 3 Mode files enabled. I did notice that sometimes the game won't load the ReShade at all. Is that a common issue?
You don't need to enable all of 3 FineSharp Mode's, you can enable only 1 Mode or 1+2 Mode, or atleast only 3 Mode, turn them as you like, this is needed for emphasize high-resolution used via DSR. ReShade are working always, issue that happened to you are strange, try re-install ReShade or delete them and install again. But it may not work if you using Resorep, that means ReShade are don't compatible with Resorep, but you can use NVidia Freestyle for Gameplay+Photo-Mode only or Ansel for Photo-Mode only.
Hi. When I press the f12 key, nothing changes,. Do I need to create a new BmInput.ini because there is already BmInput.ini in the BmGame /config directory, or I just paste the code there?
Sup dawgy dawgs. 3 things 1.) right click the Bminput.ini and make sure read only is checked. 2.) Make sure its in "Batman Arkham Knight/Bmgame/Config" if all else fails, download this input/console.txt premade files and go crazy! https://www.nexusmods.com/batmanarkhamknight/mods/512
The post process disable absolutely does not work or do anything in the current steam version of the game and neither does the https://www.nexusmods.com/batmanarkhamknight/mods/512 files, all that will do is give you an error message about config files.
Hey there, im just running into an issue where, if i use smoke or go into fog or go into my gadget wheel, i can see 3d shapes of the materials in the game in faint white. I was wondering if there is a fix for this? Thanks
Hiiii ! Just finish installing this mod and I have a issue. As soon as I finish installing everything, the water in game exept the rain just dissapear ? Wonder is there a solution to fix this ? thankss
so i just download the latest arkhamvision2024.ini file and put it in reshade and that's it?? no need to download snowbox weather enhancers and all of the others?
Since the Install Instructions are not very good and clearly in this comments people are confused, I will outline it for everyone. This worked for me as of 2022 Summer.
The Steam Guide recommends Lightroom from a Mediafire link, just use the one with the latest version of Reshade. You should only have to download 2 separate Shaders (Pirate/RTGI) and one of the Presets from the Downloads tab on this Mod.
INSTALLING RESHADE (I use version 5.3.0 /w Addon Support) you can find all past releases in case something is wonky here (from the official Team) https://www.mediafire.com/folder/8ar1jhh1809cl/ReShade_Repository#myfiles
NOTE: If you have installed Reshade on Arkham Knight before, instead of selecting "Modify" choose "Uninstall". Then proceed with installing Reshade again.
- Select DX 9/11/12 - During Install it will ask for Preset - Select The One You Downloaded (I use MXAO 1.7b Preset) - Should now just be Next -> Next -> Next -> Install blah blah blah
INSTALLING PIRATE SHADERS I like them
- Get them here: https://github.com/Heathen/Pirate-Shaders - Select the Latest Release - Place the "Shaders" and "Textures" folder @ WHEREYOUINSTALLEDTHEGAME\Batman Arkham Knight\Binaries\Win64\reshade-shaders
INSTALLING RTGI ray tracing wow
- Get them here: Google it or Subscribe to their Patreon (I do) @ https://www.patreon.com/mcflypg - Place the "Shaders" and "Textures" folder @ WHEREYOUINSTALLEDTHEGAME\Batman Arkham Knight\Binaries\Win64\reshade-shaders
NOTE: Choose either Partial or Full 'Post Process' Removal. See what your Preset Requires. I prefer Partialover Full.
PARTIAL PROCESS REMOVAL (This will depend on what your Preset requires, some need Full Post Process removal, some need Partial Post Process removal)
- Go to WHEREYOUINSTALLEDTHEGAME\Batman Arkham Knight\Binaries - Create a CONSOLE.txt file - Put this in the file (Copy paste, dont worry about formatting)
set Engine.PostProcessEffect bUseWorldSettings false | Set Materialeffect bShowInGame false | set PostProcessVolume bEnabled false | set Engine.PostProcessEffect bShowInGame true | set Engine.PostProcessEffect bAffectsLightingOnly false turn off DOF: set BmGame.R3rdPersonCamera Debug_TurnOffZoomDof 1
FULL PROCESS REMOVAL
- I don't recommend it and neither does the Mod Author.
CREATING ABILITY TO REMOVE THE PROCESSING via HOTKEY this will allow us to create a hotkey to remove the post-processing
- Go to WHEREYOUINSTALLEDTHEGAME\Batman Arkham Knight\DLC\356474\Content\BmGame\Config - Create a new file called BmInput.ini (MAKE SURE THE EXTENSION IS .ini and not .txt) - Add the following code to the file
WHEN IN GAME you MUST be loaded into the world for the Processing to be removed
Load into Arkham City and Press F12 Press "Home" and load up Reshade Select YOURPRESET and voila!

UPDATE 2024:
I'm not sure the issue some of you are facing. I just did this again to confirm that it works and it does.
I am going to assume it is something to do with you guys NOT showing File Extensions in your Windows Explorer - so when you create the BmInput.ini it is actually BmInput.ini.txt.
In explorer (Any Folder you open) go to the Options -> View. Make sure that in the list, "Hide extensions for known file types" is UNCHECKED. So when you create the files required, they have the true extensions needed.
You can change the F12 and F10 key command to any Keybind on your Keyboard, but that is up to you to figure out how to configure. I would advise keeping with the F keys such as F12, F11, F10, F9, etc.

Just download this. The console.txt files and the Bminput.ini are already made for you and you can't f*#@ it up literally just copy and paste to main directory https://www.nexusmods.com/batmanarkhamknight/mods/512
Following your guide, most everything works great! Thank you for sharing. Only issue is f10 wont bring the post processing stuff back for me. Any thoughts on that?
For anyone out there; the ''remove silly effect'' mod affect the path of the Reshade. I had to remove the mod for this reshade to work. Made my game crash on loading.
