If it's not working for you it means one of the following:
You are not actually on the latest game version
You are not actually on the latest mod version
You have installed the mod or its dependency incorrectly
You do not have the latest VC redistributable installed: https://aka.ms/vs/17/release/vc_redist.x64.exe. If you think you do, try updating/reinstalling anyway. We have some anecdotal evidence of completely unrelated installers downgrading the installed VC redist version silently.
The bug tracker has been disabled in order to retain my sanity and my faith in humanity, as the only new reports endlessly popping up there weren't bugs at all. Sorry, I'd like to keep it open for actual bugs, but cleaning the tracker up from endless "mod doesn't work" reports while I have a sticky post saying that yes it does work on this particular game version is seriously mentally draining. If the version of the game you're on is listed above, it means that I have personally verified that the mod works on that version.
The mod will never be on the official mod manager as .dll mods are unsupported.
Update to Patch 8 is out. I've kind of dreaded the photo mode changes but it turns out they don't seem to have affected anything related to the mod at all - which is great. I've only done barebones testing. Hopefully everything's okay.

Is there/could you make an easy way to toggle this type of camera on and off? Its perfect for the most part but there are locations that are made specifically for vanilla camera and thus get very difficult to control with this cam. Is there a way to turn this into a toggle without having to go into the native folder and removing/replacing it each time? I like the controller feature to control pitch seperately, could that be done on kbm so that I could easily switch to the default pitch and back? I have no idea how plausible this would be to accomplish so my apologies if this is an impossible request.
After the latest patch. Sometimes the camera completely zoom-in and it's not possible to zoom-out unless you walk away from the place you are. It seems to be at specific places. But im still not too sure about were all of those are. The place that I found about the bug was in act 1 at the Chapel Entrance, were those bandits are.
Edit: Apparently, the problem seems to be collision with walls. A majority of them. If your camera goes in the direction of a close wall. Then the camera snaps right into max zoom
This isn’t exactly a fix. It kind of works, but all these settings really do is allow the camera to clip through walls and the ground. So yeah, it’s technically a workaround for the problem, but it also makes some angles look weird. I looked at the code to try to understand what’s going on, but I’m not an expert. Maybe it has something to do with the exploration camera not resetting properly in situations like this — but I’m not sure. I guess all we can do is wait for an update. But it's been radio silence for the past two months, so I don't know...
I have an issue when using this mod since patch 8. It is installed correctly and works however, the mod freezes my game every few minutes. I went through my mod list and narrowed it down to this mod. Native Mod Loader has no effect, only when I install the Camera Tweaks. Has anyone out there found a fix or workaround? Thanks in advance!
If this is the same issue I've been experiencing (not frozen, but suddenly unable to move the camera) then the fix is just pressing esc to open the menu and when you hit esc again to resume, it'll be back to normal
Thanks, but no, its the entire game. Cut scenes, menus, combat. There are a few people here in the comment section that have the same issue, but no solution. I have used this mod since early access and feel its absence. Thank you for the reply though.

This mod installed nicely with no issues, but I went to change the keybinds (middle mouse button is kind of awkward for me, I was going to change cam pitch to capslock) and now all my keybinds are frozen, it won't let me change anything except to left mouse button, which obviously doesn't work. This issue only occured after I installed Native Camera. I followed the instructions to reset keybinds ingame, in the steam start menu, and from the .json, but none of these things have fixed the issue. Has anyone else had a similar bug?

I want to +1 this. I'm getting the same error all except under "Detail ->" my error is "GetCameraObject not found!". I have also reinstalled the game after a month long break. I last played on 5/5, so it was right before the most recent hotfix. My friend who has had the game installed the entire break has not gotten this issue, so it seems to be related to reinstallation.
I have reinstalled the mod, the NativeModLoader, the C++ Distributable, and the game. Uninstalling the mod makes the game launch without issue. I would like some attention on this please.
hey so i was having a similar issue as well (it said GetCameraObject not found instead though) and it was driving me insane cuz it was working for my friends just fine. now, this may sound like a super obvious "fix", and it could very well not be the answer to fix it for you. after literally losing my mind for a week, i realized my issue was as simple as i had the wrong version. i accidentally mixed up the zips with the previous version (2.4.3 which idk how or why i downloaded that one). after deleting the files of the wrong version and adding back in the ones of the actual newest version (2.4.4) i no longer had the error popups when trying to launch the game.
again, i know it sounds like such an obvious thing to check, but hey if it slipped under my radar maybe it did for yall as well. @1Tap0110 @1348136 @fantomeevee pinging you guys too in case this helps you !!
EDIT: just want to mention to anyone in the future or whatever, this is for hotfix #32 and i can confirm at least for me, it works now.
So I had this issue even on the proper version, remove all the files that are related to the mod, example the toml's and let the mod generate new ones, that fixed it for me.
