⭐RACES.LSX BETA⭐ Modded eye colors will always show up in the 'all eye colors' section no matter what, but by editing Races.lsx, you can add eye colors to each race-specific color list. I've included an edited vanilla Races.lsx with lore-friendly Subtle Nature additions and corrections to some of the worst-organized lists. If you try it out, let me know what you think! I don't know if it's too cluttered or not.
Hey,
i think i wold love to see that work fpr modded races as well. I am not a mod autjor and i have no idea ho to edit mod files. Would you consoder adding compatibilty for those?
Hey! I could add the eye lists to modded races (assuming I get permission) but I don't think it would work out very well. A lot of custom races rely on Padme's Races.lsx patch for hair compatibility, horn compatibility, etc and if you used my version to edit the eye lists, you would lose that compatibility.
The best solution so far has been to edit Padme's patch directly (that's what I did for my game). I did ask Padme about this, but uploading my own version of her patch would be a permissions nightmare for her so I'm not able to do that. I think it is possible to use Script Extender to manually recreate the eye lists without needing to edit Races.lsx, but so far I haven't been able to get my script to work. 😔 If I do get a script working, then I can come back to possibly adding custom races. Sorry!
Are you using a custom texture? I'm asking, because I want to know, if the eyes will look exactly like in your screenshots or slightly different because of an eye texture. :)
Sooooo guess who completely forgot about her custom textures... omg...
Yes, I do use custom eye textures from Companion and NPC Texture Tweaks—more specifically I use everything except for the custom eyecatch (ATM_HDRi_EyesCatchlight.dds). I compared the colors on both the custom textures and the vanilla ones and yeah, unfortunately it does make a difference:
Not a bad one, mind you, but definitely needs the custom textures to look like the screenshots. Thank you for the head's up about this, by the way!! I'll add this to the main page.
Usually the best way is to use custom heads that have huge eyelashes in the first place—the 'Bia' head I used from Hearts' Heads has great lashes, as does XX's Head, and I remember Gufery's heads having dumb-dumb big lashes. But what also helps is Companion and NPC Texture Tweaks! They have a eyelash replacer loose file that makes them longer and thicker.

No worries. Your colors look beautiful regardless of the texture! 😊
Awesome mod btw, thank you!
