Since the maximum level is 12, then for each level (in theory) Larian was allowed to take a class, which does not break the game in a technical sense. But this definitely breaks the balance, as the difficulty progression will have to freeze at level 12. 133 because 11*11 (11 grades with 11 levels) +12 (12th grade with 12 levels). At level 13 (class, not character) the game crashes, technically level 13 is not implemented, so you have to take only one class level 12. If you raised the character to the 12th level of the class, then without raising the level further, go to the mummy and reset the levels, redistributing everything.The progression is simple:level digit * 100, i.e. 2 - 200 experience, 10 - 1000 experience, 133 - 13300 experience. Therefore, I'm not sure if it's theoretically possible to collect 1035600 experience points and reach the maximum level.Installation: user_disk:\Baldurs Gate 3\If you decide to get rid of the mod, thereby restoring the natural course of things, then just come to the Withered and reset the levels, then save and exit the game, then delete the mod files and return to the game, then distribute the exp and you will have the level that Larian is expected from you at your stage of the game (maybe not the 12th).
I have struggled and struggled with this mod to allow levelling up past 62. I must be missing something. I've changed the key in the data.txt file and even lowered the xp for each level such that it never surpasses 6500 but I must be missing something. Anyone figured this out?
Hi - I don't really understand how this works with the other mods - does this mod change anything besides XP/max levels?
I'm using UnlockLevelCurve and considering adding Level 30 mod to my game. They have added spells, features, etc., for levels 13-20, and 13-30. If I add this mod (after them in order?) will everything be the same, except the XP table is updated to increase XP and make leveling faster?
Since the Level 30 mod is a .pak it'll override this mod (especially if you use Mod Fixer). If you want this mod to work with Level 30 unpack it's .pak using ShinyHobo's Multitool and merge the XPData.txt files, it should work in theory (I haven't tried it). I strongly suggest using Level 30, since it fixes issues and sets the native class caps to level 30.
What I did was copy this mod's XPData.txt text from level 31-50 pasted it in Level 30's (after level 30, but before MaxXPLevel), changing the numbers within the quotations to 10000. Then I changed the last line to:I chose level 50 because after testing it seemed the best, but you can set the cap to whatever you'd like.
The class caps stay at 30, if you want to increase those then you need to edit the Progressions.lsx. Drag your new version of the Level 30 mod's folder into Multitool and it'll create a zip. Permanently delete the Level 30 mod in your Mod Manager que, import your version, save the order and then export the order to the game. Poof your level cap is now 50.
Unfortunately cannot get to work in multiplayer me and my buddy installed this and we stopped leveling at total level 12 even with multiclass pretty sad was excited to lay waste to Faerun completely OP'd out
I must say it works for me. To avoid problems when I reached level 12 I installed the mod Dummy Levels for multiclassing in its version 13 which allowed me to bring the skills to 12.I really use it to be a sorcerer-mage so I don't know what the current level cap will be but so far for two classes at full capacity it is perfect.
I hope some one could assist me on a couple of issues that Im experiencing. First, Is when running this mod on a new game in tut Both Laezel and ShadowHeart are naked all threw out of the begining of the game also I cant lootthe Demons in the last part of the nautiloid.Second, when I try to use 133 mod along with"Unlock Level Curve" I get that I can only play upto level 20 which I thought it alowed meto multiclass up to 20 nut cut me off at 20. Unsure if the second needs to be brought up to the second issue, which is what Ill do after submitting this to you.
I don't know about the new game issues, but it won't let you level a class past 20 even with the Unlock. You have to multiclass to use these mods correctly. Both that mod and this one won't let you go beyond the CLASS level cap, so you will only ever be able to get one class to max level, and it should be done on your final Level Up. Otherwise the game won't know what to do at a Class lvl 21 and crash.
I was able to slip this into the UnlockLevelCurve mod that allows you to get to level 20 in the classes and extended it to level 229 which allows all level 19 plus one level 20 character. Oddly enough, I was able to level them all up and due to elemental feat not requiring a choice, got through it all. Unfortunately, I am was unable to get higher level spells from the 5e spell mod.

But teaching you how to make the changes means that someone else can either make the mod, or you can create your own changes and slip stream them into the mod on your own.

But as I said, I am unable to get the bonus spells from the 5e mods. Of course, I am not sure if I was getting those before as I had not leveled up a caster with it before I tried this...
are you not getting any performance hit? like when i leveled to 133 i was lagging like crazy, lowered the settings to the lowest, still insane lag/stutters/frame drops, or are you playing though it all? im genuinely curious bcuz most people are not complaining which means im doing something wrong idk, would you be ok sharing your save?

I've been having stuttering and lagging issues and I didn't through my first playthrough (without a level mod) and I've tried everything to fix it. I never considered it could be the level mod.
Lots of people have reported it, and my stuttering started while I was in the middle of leveling. So I am certain it has to do with the leveling mod, not the MOD itself. I do not think the mod causes the problem. I think the problem comes from having to many skills that interact with the environment, that every time you come into a place where the game is going to do a perception check or the like, it bogs down running through all your skill checks.
I think I might try and stick with 60 levels and have 3 level characters with my next changes.
I think it might have to do with your computer specifications. My computer is an AMD 7950 X3D with an RTX 4090, so probably is able to endure a bit before it stutters.
I was addressing the fact that your stuttering started at or before level 28 and mine started at level 60-70, I started noticing the stuttering while still leveling up. Once I completed leveling up and ran around, I noticed that the stuttering happened in the same locations and seemed to correspond with locations where skills were likely to be triggered, such as perception.
Since yours started much earlier than mine, I just thought it could be a hardware capability issue.
Ah gotcha. I did get desperate and try things before. Updating graphics driver, setting cpu priority, etc. I even put everything on low setting just to see. Still stuttered =(
can confirm with astonerii on my end. my frame drops has to do with entering different areas and the game checking what spells you can or cant use in them.
maybe if there was a mod that let you use spells anywhere no matter the environment that would fix the drops
i did all the steps according to your tutorial but for me it dosent work if changed all 3 txt files and repack them as an pak file did i need to restat an run or did i somthing wrong ?
Hey, @asteronii, I get that you have no intentions of keeping the modified file up-to-date but it would really help a lot of people if you would post what you have as a starting point. If you don't want to support it, that's fine, just make it very clear in the file description.
It looks like some of us are having some difficulties recreating what you did. Personally, I have 8 years of University studies in programming and I'm haven't been able to get past some issues with the unpacker. If I'm struggling, they've got to be struggling as well.
Anyways, please consider posting your own file. It would help others out a lot.

Appreciate this. Once I unpacked everything and made the changes I repacked it and then uploaded it via Vortex. Started a new game and everything seems to be working fine. But I capped mine to level 50 though. Also, 5e spells are working for me as well. But I also downloaded the "UnlockCurve" patch for 5e spells as well.
