2.0.0 is out and should have fixed any issues with wares options. Let me know if issues persist.
1.2.0:
Spoiler:
Show
New Features - Mark only duplicates as wares: added option to mark only duplicates as wares (duplicates are considered books that have at least 1 copy in the camp chest, party inventory doesn't count); - Ignore books in containers: added option to ignore books in containers (true by default, was also the implicit behavior up until now); Fixes and Improvements - Fallen vars are loaded on reset command: only useful for SE console users, but it's there; - Volition Cabinet: added Volition Cabinet as a dependency. - 1.2.1 - instantly option: fixed a regression caused by the new duplicate book handling feature from 1.2.0
Initially, "mark_as_ware_instead" was a sub-feature of "instantly," but I elevated its status before it was fully developed. Its functionality may not align with expectations (like teleporting to camp, marking duplicates as wares, and sending only 'new' read books to the chest). Currently, please regard it as part of the "instantly" option. Apologies for any confusion.
1.1.0 is out!
New Features - Instantly mark read books as wares after reading them: Added an option to automatically mark books you've finished reading as wares. Disabled by default. - Ignore books marked as wares: Added an option to ignore books marked as wares. Enabled by default.
Fixes and Improvements - Version 1.1.0.1 - Made Fallen's 'Mark book as read' an actual dependency in the meta.lsx file: This update ensures that the 'Mark book as read' mod is recognized as a necessary dependency, something used by BG3MM and maybe Vortex? This should further minimize the chances of Fallen's mod not being loaded early enough. - Version 1.0.1 - Fixed trying to load Fallen's 'Mark book as read' too soon: Fixed an issue where the mod attempted to load dependencies' variables prematurely, which would cause this mod to not work.
Hello! I'm writing a comment of shame and humbly requesting the exact order I am supposed to have this mod and its requirements in... I've managed to get this mod to work before somehow, but after deleting/redownloading my game and all my mods, I cannot for the life of me get it to work again. The book will show as read but not auto transfer to the camp chest. Any tips?
If you're using BG3MM, load order will be arranged automatically for these mods. If they are all enabled and with relevant settings, it should work fine.
Hey, first of all: Thank you for your great mods! I really apprecate!
I just have a question: Somehow, my books are all blank (No text in them) and I can not figure out what mod could be the issue. The only ones that handle books are this one and "Mark as Read" - so I wonder. Maybe you have an idea?
PS: No, I'm not polish and that happens directly at the start of the game.
I was experiencing a similar issue when using this mod, mark as read, and better inventory ui from pavelk. tweaking some settings in the mcm did it for me so I figured I'd leave that bit here incase you still cared.
This mod looks great and I also have your Auto Send Food to Camp. However, either it isn't working right for me or I am misunderstanding the options. Here is what I have set:
Process books instantly = OFF (therefore my understanding is it only processes when I travel to camp)
Mark as ware instead = ON
Only mark duplicates as waves = ON
All 3 Ignore settings = ON
Started game and just did the crypt to get Withers. Got the Book of Dead Gods, Harper's Map and Harper's Notebook, Invasion Plans for Sword Coast and On Death & Resurrection. The are all colored Green from Mark Books as Read. Traveled to camp and found them all marked as wares in my inventory. I have no books in the camp chest, so they aren't duplicates.
Is there any information I should provide to for you to advise what might be wrong or are you able to reproduce this behavior?
Open the console (CTRL+F12), set the debug level to 2 on MCM and share the logs after something like this happens. I don't recall this sort of issue happening anymore
Since it currently can mark books as wares after reading them, would it be possible to add an option to mark already known books as wares when looting another copy of them please?
Right now both mods (ASRBTC and MBAR) are set up like this: -Loot "Book XYZ" and read it -"Book XYZ" gets renamed to "Book XYZ (memorized)" without changing rarity and gets marked as wares, both immediately and no sending to camp happens -Other copies to come across are named "Book XYZ (memorized)" from now on -When another copy of "Book XYZ (memorized)" is looted it will get marked as wares without having to read it from the inventory (edit - noticed if "Book XYZ (memorized)" is read again before picking it up it does get marked as wares upon looting)
The last step in red would be the new option or would that be too outside the scope of the mod?
Appreciate the quick reply thanks, my settings are like this (sending to camp is disabled entirely as intended):
When I tried picking up both books here in the Grove, only the one I read directly before looting (Realm According to Bumpo) will get marked as wares while the other one (Impossible Adventures of Tenebrux) will stay unmarked:
Edit - Oh alright, going to camp also marks the second book as wares as you said. Could the same marking logic apply when looting known books to expedite having them as wares in the inventory?
That would require too much testing for something that already happens when going to camp, wares is already a bit of feature creep so I'll keep it as it is
Quick question, as I just found this mod. Since it uses MCM, is there an option to set where they get sent? For instance if you have a book bag, can you set it to send to that bag, or do they just go to the camp chest and you then add them to the bag manually? Oh, added question - what happens if you read a book and haven't been to the camp yet in Act 1? Does it still send them?
I've got an odd issue that i've been wondering about for a while. Sometimes, if i start a new game or open an alternative campaign, the books i memorized in the first file remain memorized in the second.
It doesn't always happen, but is there a way to keep the "read" book status specific to a character?
OK, after testing this mod for a while, i would say it's a nice mod. Very practical. But having to still sort away the books in the camp chest, i have a question. Would it be possible to add a container for the books in the camp chest, like Auto Send Food to camp has?
Another question. I know there may be conflicts with mods that have auto sort function. But i feel i should still ask. Do Auto Loot Seller and Auto Loot aura work with this mod?
For selling automatically, maybe having Auto Loot Seller earlier in the load order could help. Auto Loot Aura should work either way. I'd use a mod that adds autosorting containers and leave a book container in the camp chest.
