Dude I don't get which mod to download. There are 2 main files and they say they "require" all of official or extended subclasses... Does "require" mean I need them all?.. And there is also mods for singular classes... And there is also mods for singular classes but extended...
If I download Subclass Compatch (Extended) 2.7.0, am I done? I reeeeaally don't get it.
And what if I have subclasses that aren't listed? Would that break it? Like College of Dance and Glamour?
Extra subclasses will either work fine or just not show up, depending.
The main files are the same as having all 12 of the individual classes, I just split them up for convenience.
Each file requires the subclasses listed in it. The individual files have the lists in their descriptions, but there's a character limit so the main files have the lists on the main page of the mod.
hello. i'm stupid. i downloaded the singular compatches for categories i had subclass mods for - so like, warlock, druid, sorc, bard. i only had one of the subclasses for some of them but i thought about downloading more. i also have the "main" compatibility framework - does this not play nice with the main compat framework? or is it bc i don't have all the subclasses per class? i'm so sorry. when i have the compatches installed i crash to desktop as soon as a file loads, even on new saves, so i'm probably making a dumb.
oooohkay, thank you!! okay, i was wondering because there's a lot of subclasses that aren't included in the main compatibility framework it looks like, so i was trying to get around that by using yours - like the hexblade and celestial warlocks that your compatch covers. i can only get one of the warlock subclasses to show up. unless that's a diff issue and i'm dumb, but i was reading the comments on that one and someone mentioned it was probably bc it hadn't been updated
this might be redundant, but do you know if the two frameworks will mess with each other for until the other one gets updated? or will i have to remove it before using this one? sorry for all the questions, i'm kind of . big newbie. if they can work together i'll just have to wait for your update and download more subclasses, which, doesn't bother me, hehe :triumph: (it's just playing with a friend who can be like "sIGHHH YOU'RE NOT EVEN GONNA USE THEM-" yes but listen linda
Yeah no worries on the questions. In theory, as long as you have community library & script extender, loading compatibility framework after this mod and all your subclasses should work fine. I've never tested it but that's my best guess. Update should be up today I hope though.
Heyo, is it possible you could add the Genie Warlock mod to the list? I want to use the list here but im hesitant cus i dont want to lose one of my favourite subclasses its listed as needing script extender, but as of its 3.0.0 version it works completely fine without it
Interesting, I'll look into that. From the files it doesn't seem to need it, so I'll give it a go. I'll update this comment.
Update: While it may have worked prior to Patch 7, during my Patch 7 testing Genie caused some issues & had at least 1 moderate bug that I found basically immediately so I won't be adding it.
Thx for the awesome mod it works wonders for me cause SE doesn't work on mac.
I was wondering if the wizard homebrew could have Dimensional traveler in it and if it was possible to create a base module file where we could learn and customize our own files and classes into it?
As a Mac user, very excited for this, but I seem to not be able to get it to work. :(
Currently testing it with just the following in my mod load order:
Community Library ImprovedUI (+assets) Oath of Glory Oath of Crown Oath of Conquest Oath of Watchers Subclass Compatch - Paladin
I've moved the Compatch around to various spots in the list but only the last subclass shows up each time. Any idea what I might be missing? I have previously been able to add custom races just fine, but no more than 1 subclass. Appreciate any help!
Well that is the right set of mods, you need to load the patch file last. If only one subclass shows up, that subclass is being loaded last rather than the patch.
Ahh, figured it out. Turns out my modsettings.isx did NOT update the order of the mods even though BG3MM showed them a certain way. Manually editing the file worked.
This is also happening to me, it seems Oath of Glory and Oath of the Watchers won't play together :/ I double checked that modsettings.lsx was being updated correctly. I'm also using compatibility framework since I have tons of other mods there and the other patch for Oath of Glory and Oath of the Watchers didn't work for me, so I thought it was worth to give this one a shot.
Would you consider making a patch for Death Soul and Divine Soul (I used this version if that's of importance for it to work) to work together as well? :D
This is the right place to post it, since it's a feature request for this mod. They already can work together, you just need the Sorcerer (Homebrew) file, it's near the bottom, load it after the main file (if you're using a main file).
Installed all subclasses required of the file, but they do not all show up in-game. Just one of the custom sub-classes show up like they would do normally without a comp patch. Dunno what I did wrong.
I installed them in order:
- Aberrant Mind - Asgorath Chaos - Death Soul - Divine Soul - Lunar Sorcery - Stone Sorcery - Then the Subclass Compatch file for the homebrew edition at the end of these.
First Vampire is on my list for the next update, Warrior would need a patch and I've already tried contacting that author about Divine Soul and got no response.
I like that this module is made for people who can't use SE, yet most of the required subclasses actually require SE ... Sounds like a loophole to me
None of the listed subclasses require SE to function, a lot of them have it on the list since it's a requirement for Compatibility Framework. The couple that did need SE for some functionality have patches made by me.

edit so less obnoxious after answer <3
You do need all the subclasses per class yes, instant crash means you're missing some.
Its also a bit borked since patch 7, update soon.

Edit: New 1.9.0 module is up, try it out

Thanks a lot from a fellow mac user! <3

Is the load order wrong?
I humbly request the following additions be made.
