Hey everyone! There are currently no plans for any changes to this head, for example someone has asked me before if I plan to convert this for bodytype 2. For now I will only be offering compatibility with more modded races.
However, I plan to redo most of my heads and improve them later when I'm done with a few other things in the works, and when that time comes I can definitely try to convert this head for bodytype 2, along with attempting to fulfill any other requests you might have. That's why I'm starting a list here:
To Do List for future Head Revamp:
- conversion for body type 2 - possibly different animation set bank?
Thank you for this mod! i would like to make a request, the outfits? i know the outfits are already in basket of equipment, but they have no stats. So it would be super cool to have some "custom" stats outfit :) the outfits in the basket mod also doesn't have the headwrap underneath the "hat" so you just become bald :( also i see the same skin color as the one used by nurses ingame on the human face, which ingame skin color is that? also also custom animations like the ones nurses have would be super cool. i love their animation set.
the outfits in basket of equipment have the magic armour trait which increases ac with level and also increases your stats. From the mod page:
"All armor slot items have a base AC of 11 with Dex modifiers and are considered clothing. If you have medium armor proficiency, you gain an extra +2 to AC. At level 4 you gain +1 AC, at level 7 you gain +1 to all ability scores and at level 10 you gain +1 to AC."
I'm afraid I don't have much to teach, most of my work here was in terms of coding and trying to make normal Tav textures out of the different kind that most creatures in the game use :' D. If you want to learn how to sculpt your own heads, I recommend Padme4000's tutorials.
i meant like the bits you have over the eyes, the textured glow and the glowing stitches, i wanna see if i can work with you to pull and make those customizable bc that s#*! is so cool :> Edit: I'm good-ish at the coding stuff, but assigning materials and making things customizable i'm not super good at, so I wanna work with you to figure that stuff out and see if i can replicate the process to make tiefling heads with the eye cover and stitches and s#*!, that's my favorite bit, so I wanted your permission to dissect and try to f*#@ around until i can duplicate it myself, or maybe get some advice from you about your seams? bc everything here looks flawless, your textures, your ears, your neck, etc. You did a really really good job on this :>
You probably shouldn't be dissecting this to learn about those things because the glowing colourful stitches are a courtesy of Labotor's eye tutorial, I just did what the tutorial told me to do, so I recommend going to the Eyes Of The Beholder page on Nexus and looking through Labo's Eye Teplate tutorial the way I did. As for facial glow, that is very simple to set up and I think that the BG3 wiki talks about it in the modding section? Or idk if you're in the Down by The River Discord server but someone in modding talk or modding helpboard would definitely be willing to help you out.
EDIT: There's nothing very special about the seams. The textures more or less don't have them because I used Aloija's seam mask when making them. Ears don't have a seam because all of them are the same ears, just resculpted into different shapes for each race, and they're the original heads, so they fit perfectly and have no problem. With the necks and the seams there, I don't like to bother with things like transferring normals and transplanting necks in Blender and all that jazz because in my experience it doesn't work too well anyway, or at least not for me, so what I like to do to quickly and efficiently avoid pesky problems like that is to simply take a head from the race in question and shapekey my shape onto it. Minus the neck, of course, that has to stay the same. And obviously this is only done for tieflings and the gith, since elves, half-elves and humans have interchangeable stuff. Oh yeah and if you think you might mess around with something like that later, keep a blend file, because you can't shapekey a modded imported GR2. So for example when I get to converting these bad boy for other body types, I will actually have to load in the original unusable nurse head, and not my nurse head (for the record in my case this isn't a problem because I didn't change anything about it, and to be honest I don't think I had to shapekey the head onto a vanilla human one but I wanted the eyelids to twitch during facial animations and I hate painting weights. Could I have transferred them? Probably. But I wasn't sure about the details of the UV map of the nurse either and I didn't want to check.)
