So originally this started because I wanted to play as an evil twink githyanki but couldn't find any head presets I liked, vanilla or modded, so I took upon myself to make them. This was my first venture into serious head modding and I'm pretty proud of the result :')
THIS MOD CONTAINS
As of now, four different head presets for githyanki bodytype 2! They're mostly made to be more yassified than the vanilla gith heads; if that isn't your cup of tea, please spare any feedback because it's very likely I won't be modifying them.
They also come with their own custom icons in the CC:
Make sure to set Animation Detail to High, or else you'll get floating heads!
HOW TO INSTALL (AND UNINSTALL)
You need Improved UI for this mod to work. If you're playing on a version older than Patch 7, you'll also need Mod Fixer.
I highly recommend installing this with the BG3 Mod Manager. You can technically use Vortex, too, but there might be some issues; so, if in doubt, use BG3MM. I can't provide any help or support with installing this mod through Vortex or manually, since I don't use these methods myself.
To install: Download the .zip file, extract it, drop the .pak file onto the BG3MM, move it to the Active Mods column, and you're done!
To uninstall: Simply move the mod to the Inactive Mods column or delete it.
If installing this mod with the in-game mod manager, download the .zip file, extract it, drop the .pak file in %LocalAppData%\Larian Studios\Baldur's Gate 3\Mods, and enable this mod in-game.
I'm currently working on porting this mod to the official mod.io platform so it can be enabled directly in-game, but I don't have an estimation of when it will become available. Either way, dont worry, since my mods are and will continue to be available here too!
COMPATIBILITY
This mod has built-in compatibility with Followers of Zerthimon - Githzerai by KazSuhra! If you have both this mod and the Githzerai mod installed, you don't need to download any more files, just open the CC and enjoy!
If you have any other race mod you'd like to see this added to (that uses vanilla githyanki as a base), please feel free to suggest it down below so I can patch it.
As of ver 1.03, this mod is now compatible with Less Wrinkled Expression, Unique Tav, and Eyes of the Beholder! For the first, the mod is compatible by default and you don't need to grab anything; for UT and EOTB, just download the respective files.
By default, the heads do not have VFX enabled (like the glowing eyes that show up when using Speak with Dead). If you're interested in that, the lovely Padme4000 made a patch for it!
If you want to use any kind of glowing eye presets (like the vanilla tiefling ones), this mod is compatible with Astralities' Glow Eyes!
KNOWN ISSUES
- While I've made custom skeletons for the heads and done my best to try and adjust them, please note that it's very likely that some piercings and beards will be placed weirdly depending on the head, facial hair or piercing set. I'll do my best to try and fix this, but if you encounter any more bugs with said placements or the animations please send them to me!
