Check out my new mods: Basket Full of Outfits. NSFW version that currently contains almost 100 pieces of equipment. And it's smaller sibling Basket Full of Outfits. SFW version that contains just the SFW pieces of equipment. Both mods contain all the outfits included in this mod. Updated with more advanced modding knowledge. Including no longer requiring loose files, custom icons, and many more new outfits.
This mod is now out of date and has been succeeded by https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/87 which combines my first three outfit mods, and updates them to include proper versions for Tiefling and Githyanki women. Among many other bigger and smaller improvements. I will also add an alternative way to install that mod, for those that can't use Candor.
The armor looks really amazing. Shown up perfectly in character creation. However I can not zoom or rotate character anymore in there. Do you have any idea, what did I messed up?
Great work, will try others also. Thanks for your shares! :)
Using mods causes an error message, and you need to click accept for that error message during loading, or else it remains open, but invisible. This prevents zoom and rotate.
It varies. Daisy Dress, for example, only has these files: HUM_F_CLT_Daisy_Dress_A & HUM_F_CLT_Daisy_Dress_A_Accessories.
Drow Leather Armor, for example has these files: HUM_F_ARM_DrowLeather_A_Body, HUM_F_ARM_DrowLeather_A_Pants & HUM_F_ARM_DrowLeather_A_Shoulderpads.
Then for a complete Drow look you also need helmet: HUM_F_ARM_DrowLeather_A_Headwear, boots: HUM_F_ARM_DrowLeather_A_Footwear and bracers: HUM_F_ARM_DrowLeather_A_Bracers
So, yes. All armors are comprised of modular pieces, but the amount of pieces can vary.
To clarify. I didn't figure out this by myself. I had a lot of help from several people over at Larian's Discord channel's BG3 modding discussion area.
Among the people who helped me was Vaylentine, who released the very first armor mod for BG3.
Very interesting to hear, does that mean any gear you see on npcs could be modded into a playable armor? For instance, I was quite disappointed when I noticed Lae'zel didn't have boots/gloves to match the githyanki halfplate like on her character art, but later noticed these models actually exist in the game files, as the githyanki patrol wear those
The armor from Aradin (the adventurer that you meet at the groves gate goblin attack) also looks really nice
Also, did you have to do any model edit, or it was purely some editing in the lsx/lsf files to tell the game which armor parts the gear should use?
I recommend checking the .lsx files in my Casual outfits for all races and genders mod. It contains explanations of many of the things in those files.
But to answer your question. For some NPC armors, you can just add the visual to a new armor's race and gender slot. For others, you need to make it so the armor hides the underwear, or they will clip through. And for some, 3D editing is required.
But the biggest challenge, is making any armor that works for all the races and genders. Most armors don't currently have models for all races, and even those that have them for humans, don't always work for Tieflings and Githyanki. Who have slightly different body structures.
I can't seem to get this to work, when I try to create character they just got underwear on. The textures have taken onto the underwear though, just no clothes. Also no boots or gloves either. Think the mod isn't getting enabled.
Condor also doesn't work for me so I'm having to add manually. These are the things to add to the modsettings.lsx file right?
Great armor... on pictures. I'm unable to install the module, Condor doesn't work as for the other people. Could the modder help us, or someone else, to get the right path on the modsettings. Thank you
