CIRCLE OF STARS IS NOW LIVE!
This mod should be compatible with other mods as long as they don't modify the progression table for 2nd level Druids.

If you encounter any issues or bugs, please make a bug report rather than a comment so I don't have to move it manually. Also, please make sure you read the Potential Issues/Disclaimers section of the mod description before making a report—thanks! 😊

    ✨ FAQ ✨

Is this mod compatible with other mods?
Yes. Unless it changes the Druids progression table for level 2, it should be compatible. If another mod does change the progression table, i.e. it's another Druid related mod, I recommend using Compatibility Framework, which allows compatibility between subclasses. Any issues related to that mod should be directed to its comments section.

Why doesn't the subclass show up in character creation?
    You probably either:
    1) Didn't install it properly. Take a look at the installation guide at the end of the mod description.
    or
    2) Haven't updated all your mods. Make sure that ImprovedUI and Script Extender in particular are up-to-date.
    or
    3) Have other mods that overwrite it. Please place Community Library at the very top of your load order, and Compatibility Framework at the very bottom. If that doesn't work, try placing this mod further down in the load order. If the problem still persists, disable all other addons except the ones required by this mod, enable your mods one by one, and see which one is causing the issue.

X happens when I do Y, even though it shouldn't. Why?
Your other mods are most likely causing a conflict. The first thing you would need to do is to update each and every single one of your other mods to make sure they're not the ones causing the problem. If you've done that and the issue persists, try respeccing out of this subclass before updating it, then respec back. If that doesn't help, disable all mods apart from the required ones and enable your them one by one to see which one is causing problems. Once you've done that and the issue still persists, you are welcome to open a bug report.

My mods are designed to be as non-dependent on other mods as possible, and I'm not responsible for issues appearing when playing with multiple mods. I will not go out of my way to accommodate or implement workarounds to make it compatible with mods other than the ones listed in the Required files section. If the authors of other mods that cause conflicts wish to do so, they may.

Can you make a version where everything is unlocked by the time you reach level 12?
    No.

Will you make a custom class icon? I demand a custom subclass icon/I can't stand seeing a skull icon.
I have no such plans at the moment. We'll see if I have the time and energy to spare in the future.
The skull icon is a mod conflict. Read about those above and please do not bother writing a comment before you've read it.

Thanks for bringing these classes to the game. Currently trying to figure out how to give wildshape and summons a starry form visual out of inspiration from the Blighted subclass, but it's gonna take a while since I've never modded BG3 before.

I suggest doing what I did for Blighted, only exchanging whatever's in the StatusEffect entry with what's in the Starry Form entries. A passive that gives the character an aura, which in turn applies a status to your summons, should function well for giving your summons such a visual, and something like Blighted Shape should work for your Wild Shapes. :)

Would it be possible for an Alternate lvl 12 version of this mod for us lvl 12 players?

I won't be doing that I'm afraid, since I follow the 5e progression and only modify it if Larian has done it themselves.

This is fairly easy to do for your personal use by unpacking the mod and changing the progression value.

It requires no real coding knowledge and having a basic understanding of these things is invaluable for personalizing mods in small ways instead of relying on the authors to tailor to your needs.

@Asyrin25 Cool, if you know how to do it, perhaps make a tutorial for it and toss it on youtube for those of us that don't already know. Would be a big community help, tbh.

Would you be willing to quickly explain how to do this (or tell me what I am doing wrong) or point me in the right direction where to find how to do this? As I am a total noob with coding.

Download the BG3 Modder's Multitool, unpack the mod (Utilities -> Unpack mod(s)), browse through the unpacked folders until you find the Progression.lsx file (located at \CircleofStars\Public\CircleofStars\Progressions\), open it and remove "FullOfStars" from the "PassivesAdded" line at level 14 and add it to the same line at level 12 instead. Once you've done that, drag-and-drop the unpacked mod folder (the root folder named "CircleofStars") into the blue field in the Multitool and you'll be all set.

If you don't check the "Pack .paks to Mods folder instead of zipping" option it'll create a .zip file that you need to unpack in your Mods folder, otherwise it does it for you without creating a .zip file. :)

Sorry for the late reply, work was being a drag (to put it politely), but thank you so much! Got it working now

    Love this, thank you!

Out of curiosity, what staff are you using in the photo with the starry forms? I recognize it as the staff held by the various statues of Selune, but I'd love to have it for my druid! Thanks again. :)

Hey there, did you ever manage to find out where the staff is from? I checked the newest update of Basket of Euipment and sadly its not from there :(

Should be included in the weapons bag unless the author removed it.

all are your class mods as close to 5e Players handbook as possible? i play with zerds rules as written raw and similar mods to make the game close as possible to 5e as possible.

I go out of my way to stick to 5e rules, unless something proves impossible to implement for whatever reason. So I don't believe you'll get much closer to 5e than in my subclass mods :)

Are you still able to change into wildshapes? I love the moon druid sabre cat form and would like to still be able to be an animal with the star forms.

The visuals for Starry Form are only present when using Starry Form and won't carry over when switching to another Wildshape. The Sabertooth Wildshape is exclusive to Circle of the Moon so you wouldn't be able to get it either way I'm afraid!

I have a question that may have already been answered somewhere, but not that I can see. I have installed several of your subclasses. They are incredible. But it seems that only a few of them can be selected in a game. The same with the Paladin subclasses.

For example, I have Circle of Wildfire, Circle of Stars, and Circle of Stormchasers installed. At level 3, I only see Stars, I'm guessing because it is at the bottom of my load order. But I don't see the others at all, only Stars and the "vanilla" ones. Is it that I can only have one installed at once, or am I possible doing something wrong?

    Thanks.

You need to have Compatibility Framework installed and placed at the very bottom of your load order for multiple subclasses to show up!

    Absolutely love this mod.
Mainly using the chalice form as main healing and it is awesome!

Only thing I don't like is the VFX form.
I know I can toggle it off, but it does not stay off. I have to toggle it off each time I use the form.
That itself would be fine, but the button also dissapears off my bar every time so I have to manually go to my book, put the icon on my bar, then click it off.
You could see how this is really inconvenient. Looking to see if you would fix this anytime soon? (Same with stormchaser druid)

Well, it's automatically enabled every time you enter Starry Form, and for it to stay off I'd probably need to either disable it by default or write up a script that could possibly remember whether you've toggled it on or off, and that's beyond my capabilities I'm afraid.

Is it possible to grant the vfx toggle button on picking the subclass rather than activating the wild shape astral mode?
I know nothing about modding so probably not but it's a shot in the dark.

That wouldn't make a lot of sense to me, since the visuals are granted by the forms. To be fair, I don't think you're supposed to be changing your form so often that it becomes a problem, so I'm afraid you'll have to make do with having one additional button to press every now and then :/

really enjoying the mod, though I will have to admit that I have no idea of what to do with it. The only thing that's coming to mind is a radiant orb build, but other than that i'm little lost... What are some builds you (or anyone else reading this would recommend?) in other words, what builds is everyone coming up with???

Can't really help you there since I'm not super keen on using particular builds. Perhaps someone else might provide some suggestions!
