    Patch 7 F.A.Q

Please don’t ask questions already answered in this post for the sake of keeping things organized.
Patch 7 is a stressful time for mod authors. Please be considerate.

     ₊ ✧ ₊

Does this mod work with Patch 7?
    Yes.

Will this mod be available through the in-game mod manager and/or on console?
I have no current plans to port any of my currently released mods to mod.io as doing so would take a significant amount of time that I don’t currently have to spare. This, unfortunately, also means that these mods will not be available on console. My mods will remain on NexusMods for now.

I can’t elaborate further on my decision at this time - While this may be disappointing, please respect my decision as it wasn’t made lightly.

Can I port your mod to mod.io?
If you're interested in doing so, please directly contact me via DM. Don't attempt to port my work without explicit permission.

Can I use this mod via the in-game mod manager and/or alongside mod.io mods?
Yes, however I personally still recommend using BG3MM instead.

The in-game mod manager and/or menu shows a warning symbol ⚠️ next to this mod. Does this mean something is wrong?
No. Larian has selected this symbol to label mods that are considered “third-party”.
This includes any mods not downloaded and installed by using the in-game mod manager and is merely an identifying label.
It does not mean your mod, save, or game is broken.

I’m experiencing an issue, is it caused by this mod?
Unless the issue is directly with something added by this mod, the answer is likely no.
I have tested all content added by my mods before releasing the Patch 7 updates.

If you’re still experiencing issues, please feel free to report them - however there are a number of issues that are most likely not caused by any of my mods as they are either unrelated to the content they add, or issues that frequently occur with new patches.
This includes UI issues, pre-Patch 7 saves not loading, "choices pending" in CC, and Durge/nude NPCs on load.

    Hey!
Just thought I'd pop in to say. Your work is amazing, your cosmetic mods are gorgeous, your mod compatibility is brilliantly simple and seamless and your race mods hit all the marks. The fact that you do all of this on a voluntary basis is insane and I sincerely hope that you are well compensated in your career life. I'd do the donation thing if I wasn't hopelessly broke, so I thought the LEAST I can do is tell you how much you're appreciated.
    Thank you.

Hi just want to say I really love this mod! I love how much it adds to my tav
I'm having a bit of trouble where the glow isn't working though. I haven't added any new mods and changing the mod load order in bg3mm or reinstalling the mod hasn't fixed it either. its got me stumped it was working fine yesterday. The only difference is today when i log into the game all my mods are disabled so i have to click them manually ingame. I'm hoping my only option isn't to reinstall everything to see whats bugging
    Any help would be appreciated!!

EDIT: Found the issue. One of my other mods, Eyes of the Beholder, was apparently entering in conflict with this mod.

Hi! I love this mod and I had it running very well in Patch 6 and 7. Now with Patch 8 I had to reconfigure some mods stuff to get everything in order but it seems your mods for the eyes are not working properly? No matter which eye option I pick the eyes are always full, opaque color. Like in in this link:

    https://imgur.com/a/oRpMLn2

Is it an issue with load orders or mods I'm missing? I use the BG3 mod manager for the most part.

How did you figure out the Beholder mod was the reason why it wasnt working?

This mod's description does outright state that it will conflict with EotB, because they do the same thing, for what it's worth.

Yeah I tried reading it all again and saw it was EotB, along with experimenting by removing mods from the load order.
Which is weird because pre-patch 8 I actually didn't have any issues with having both mods installed so dunno what happened xD
Anyways I fixed the issue and it's all working flawlessly

Was having issues of not getting the glow eyes, moved all my eye mods (understated, demon, feywild, this one) to bottom of load order, just above compatibility framework and problem solved, eyes are glowing. No improved ui (slim or otherwise) necessary.

Fellas what am I doing wrong? The mod only activates on Gith and no other race when I want it on a half elf.

    Example pics: https://imgur.com/a/E4Tkdni

This is my current load order: https://imgur.com/a/jepFjFu

I have also tried removing the unique tav patch like someone else stated to no result, tried without unique tav itself, AND without the Imp UI Slim.

EDIT: It was Variety Framework! Delete it and everythin' should work smooth as butter

Good afternoon! I hope you're doing well. Firstly, thank you for this mod (and all of your mods, honestly) as it and others have brought so much life to my games. Your hard work is very appreciated 💜

Secondly, an inquiry I hope you can assist with: Do you happen to know a way to make ported default heads (will explain) have glowing eyes? I use this mod but I edited the CharacterCreationAppearanceVisuals.lsx file to port a Half Elf head to be available for Tieflings, and for some reason the eyes are unable to glow for that ported head (even though they glow just fine when on a Half Elf). Everything else is flawless, just that one moved head isn't getting the ability for the eyes to glow.

Any help would be appreciated, but if you're not sure that's TOTALLY fine. Thank you again for all you do 💜

This mod doesn't (currently) touch Tieflings, so it wouldn't work for any heads ported over to them. Vanilla heads that aren't for Tieflings (or Dragonborn, technically) don't have an eye material that allows for glow, so you'd need to adjust the eye material in the head's VisualBank entry. :)

Thank you so very much for your prompt reply! I'm not sure how to do what you've suggested (as such an entry isn't in the file I've edited to port the head), but I shall look into it. I appreciate the help and the direction to go! 💜

I'll likely be extending coverage to Tieflings with my upcoming update as I'm considering adding some alternate options and skipping them doesn't seem right - so if you're not looking to do any more editing yourself, any vanilla heads should be supported after said update. :)

That's awesome! XD I'm familiar with HTML/(some)CSS coding, but all of the coding in this game has just felt like looking at rabid spaghetti monsters at times lol I envy you and other mod makers for making heads and tails of all this and sharing your work with the rest of the community. Have a lovely rest of your day! 💜

I just wanted to let you know that your direction actually helped me figure out how to accomplish this on my own! (Which is incredible, as I often just find myself staring blankly at things contemplating how dumb I am.) So, I just wanted to take the moment to thank you for your replies 💜 You've made my day and now I have one more little trick under my belt XD

Hi! Thanks for your work. Any chance to update this head compatibility:
    https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/10239

    Thanks!
  10. Hello, sorry for the dumb question, but does this  add new colors but glowing or replaces the eye colors already in the game, making them glow? <3
Can I still have the normal eye colors plus the glowing ones?

It's not a dumb question! This mod only adjusts the material of the eyes, allowing them to glow if the eye color you choose includes glow. They work like Tiefling eyes in vanilla - you can use non-glowing eye colors with this mod just fine! Any modded eye colors are separate. :)

Hey there! In case anyone's wondering, this mod works just fine with patch 8! Download the new Imp UI (it's a slim version that gives time for the other mod authors to make alterations, if they choose to). Please send love to both of these authors and be patient! They already know the patch is up, so give them time to work on it. Kudos to everyone!
    Here is my beautiful tav

I had an issue with compatibility with unique tav where my eyes appeared white or black (i also use eotb, but this wasnt the issue). Anyways, for anyone else having the issue where you get a warning message at the main menu, just delete the "astrl glowing eye unqiue tav patch" from your mods and it will work again. I also noticed it had the same issue with the tiefling compendium mod, to which i also deleted the "unique tav patch" for that too and everything worked again. I'm not entirely sure what the root issue is, whether its the patches or unique tav itself, but seeing as i don't have any issues with any of my other unique tav patches/mod, one can only assume :P
